"I pay a monthly fee to use the app. Previously, everything was included and all the comics were free. Since they introduced the diamond system, almost all comics now require an extra payment. I just looked at the upcoming comics, and only one is free — all the others require additional payment. I’ve been a subscriber for a long time, and this significantly worsens my customer experience. I’m considering canceling my subscription even though the comics are good and enjoyable."
Developer Response
Hi! Rest assured, we remain fully committed to our subscription model. You may have noticed a temporary increase in Gem titles, as many creators were waiting to release their work via the pay-per-episode option. We expect this to balance out as we continue to expand our subscription library. For further inquiries, please visit our Help Center.
The last update
Työntekijä Y
The last update destroyed reading experience by changing the sorting of all series into a completely opposite way than before. Also the app doesn’t remember anymore how I sort episodes - it forgets my preferences every time I close the app. Now I have to select my preferred way of sorting episodes every time I open the app and with every series I wish to read. This really feels like cheating the users, especially with the free pass series… I seriously considered canceling my subscription and deleting the app & I’m still debating.
Developer Response
Hi there, we apologize for the frustration caused by the recent update affecting the sort feature. The auto-scroll and sort reset issue is a known bug. We’ve shared this with our engineering team, and they’re working on a fix. We appreciate your patience while they resolve this.
It was good before
tinskulepp
Manta was in my opinion good until it began to make almost every series only free with subscription or just buy them all and only few with free pass some even without warning.I think this decision is bad even ads wouldn’t be this bad and I would continue reading but not now.Bye bye daily stories:(
Developer Response
Hi there! We are currently revising the Free Pass system and apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period. We are working on introducing new ways to access episodes and look forward to announcing these features in the near future.
wth
annoyedemily.
The old system was way better where you could read one chapter of a comic once a day. Now you have to have a subscription to read anything at all, not only that but even with subscription you can’t access all the stories, bc to some of the stories you only have access with certain amount of gems. You can’t do anything at all in this app without building anything at all, this is definitely not an improvement but a step back
