• Switzerland is back, with the full map, trails, huts, search, directions, and offline maps • New maps for every country: summits ranked by height, contour labels placed like a printed map, and new icons for viewpoints, drinking water, signposts, and trailheads • New hut and route catalog for every country. Search finds huts, routes, places, and addresses, even offline in your saved areas • Directions use a new network of paths and roads in every country and tell you right away when two places are not connected • iLende Pro now also comes as a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, or as the same one-time purchase. If you already have iLende Pro, nothing changes

• Walking times are now realistic: they count climb and descent the way the published trail times do (Besseggen: about 7 hours), and you can set your own pace in Settings • Hiking routes start where they really start, with the arrows pointing the way you walk. To walk the other way, turn the route around with the arrow button on the route card, and iLende remembers your choice • Side trips and branches of a route are drawn thinner than the route itself • Zooming out no longer shows land as open sea while the map loads, and the hillshade appears sooner

iLende is now available in German, French and Italian.

• Sweden, Finland and Iceland: the map now covers all four countries, with trails, huts, contour lines, hillshade and 3D terrain. Free, like the map of Norway • Satellite and hybrid maps in all four countries • New Apple Watch app: send a downloaded area to the watch, and the map works on your wrist without the phone, with your position and search. Tap the location button, and the map follows you and turns as you turn (iLende Pro) • One map across the borders: the same colors, trails and hut symbols in all four countries • Search finds places, huts, routes and addresses in all four countries, with results from the country you are in first • Tap the location button once, and the map moves to you, follows you and turns the way you face. Tap it again, or move the map, to stop • Offline maps download in the background, with the progress on the iPhone's Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Saved maps update themselves on Wi-Fi, and areas from earlier versions get the new map • Measuring: Undo takes back a whole drawn stroke in one tap • The welcome tour shows the map of your own country • The map appears sooner when you open the app, and loads faster when you pan and zoom • New symbols for huts and shelters, the same in all four countries, a new pin and new waypoint markers • Haptic feedback when the pin lands, a route is ready or a download is done • iLende is now in Swedish, Finnish and Icelandic
