We’ve been back under the hood of the app again. First of all, we’ve put an end to the screenshot party when it comes to Freebies. Some things just look better when they stay in the app. At the same time, the font has had a bit of a refresh, so everything looks that little bit sharper and a little more like it should. We’ve also made it possible to click into Freebies even when your stash of Uniqoins is basically saying “keep dreaming”. That way, you can at least get up close to the things you can’t afford just yet. On top of that, images in posts are now clickable, because it’s actually quite nice to be able to tap on the things you want to get a better look at. And yes, of course, we’ve also done a bunch of backend updates. The kind of slightly invisible improvements that nobody notices when they work, but everyone definitely would if they didn’t.

We’ve made a few updates behind the scenes. Things are running a bit better and a bit smoother - like giving the drawer a tidy-up without anyone noticing.

We’ve polished a few tiny visual details (so tiny you might not even spot them). Austria has officially joined the party, and behind the scenes we’re gearing up for some maintenance work over the next 6–12 months. Nothing dramatic — just making sure everything runs smoothly.

A small, helpful hourglass will now remind you of the terrible thing that can happen: your streak will break if you don’t do what needs to be done before midnight. Did you know that you automatically receive a digital receipt when your Normal-ID is scanned at the checkout?
You can find the receipt under “Good memories” on your profile page.
From now on, your digital receipt will also show whether you paid with cash or card. It’s completely normal to have a favorite product that you buy again and again in the app shop – but you also need to remember to pick it up in our stores. That’s why you can’t buy a Freebie in the app if you already have a valid, uncollected voucher for the same product.
But don’t worry: as soon as you’ve collected your Freebie in-store, you can buy a new Freebie in the app again. And remember, the limitation only applies to the same product.

¡Hola España! We’ve opened the doors to Spain in the app. Now our new amigos can also get their daily dose of NORMAL magic. Offline, but still on-brand If you fully close the app and reopen it without internet, you’ll no longer get a dramatic error message. Instead, you’ll see a friendly splash screen saying “you’re offline” – calm, simple, and very NORMAL. My NORMAL ID now disappears more easily Your NORMAL ID used to linger on the screen if you clicked away after opening it via the lock icon. That behavior is gone. The ID now disappears when you continue your journey. That’s it. Fewer bugs. More NORMAL. Enjoy.
