Counts your steps on a treadmill, where other pedometers fall short — and maps your route when you walk outdoors. It tells the two apart on its own. Your phone already counts steps. On a treadmill, it undercounts. That is not a bug — it is a design choice. The built-in pedometer filters motion aggressively to avoid mistaking fidgeting for walking, and treadmill gait is unusually uniform while your body barely moves through space. It is exactly the pattern those filters distrust. Stepper Pro reads the rhythm of your stride instead. HOW IT WORKS Put your phone in your pocket, press Start, and walk. Stepper Pro listens to the accelerometer and locks onto the cadence of your gait. Any pocket, any angle — the detection is orientation-independent, so it does not care how the phone is sitting. It knows the difference between walking and running, and says so. TREADMILL OR OUTDOORS — IT WORKS IT OUT Start walking and Stepper Pro notices on its own where you are. Steps with no movement across the map means a treadmill. Steps that take you somewhere means outdoors — and there it measures your distance and draws your route on a map. You never pick a mode. Location is optional. Say no and you still have the full treadmill counter. WHAT YOU GET - One enormous number, readable at a glance while you move - A progress ring toward your goal - Live cadence in steps per minute - Your walk history, with totals that make a habit visible - Three languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese WHAT YOU DO NOT GET No account. No sign-up. No servers. No ads. No tracking. No analytics. Your walks are stored on your device and nowhere else. Your walks and routes are never sent anywhere — the only thing that goes online is the map's own tiles, loaded by the system. BUILT FOR ONE THING This is not a fitness suite. It counts steps on a treadmill, accurately, and stays out of your way. If that is what you came for, it is all here. Made by an indie developer who got tired of finishing a workout and seeing a number that was obviously wrong.
