Flags • A task can have more than one flag. Tap a flag in the menu to add or remove it. Pinned tasks • Pin a task to the top of its list from its long-press menu or Task Detail. • Pinned tasks also gather under a Pinned header at the top of Today. • Pinned projects come first on their area's page. Sorting and grouping • Sort Now, in the ••• menu of a list you order by hand, puts overdue and soon-due tasks first, then sorts by priority and time. Undo puts everything back. • Auto-group in Today's ••• menu gives Waiting, flagged, priority or tagged tasks their own sections at the top. Navigation • Add any list, tag or smart list to the tab bar, and hide the tab labels if you like. • Turn off Search in Tab Bar to move Search to the top corner and free a tab for a list. Dates • Picking a date keeps the Date sheet open so you can add a time. Tap the chosen day again to finish. • Tomorrow has its own card under Today, and Return picks the top match when you type a date. • Today plus a part of the day is one chip: This Morning, This Afternoon or This Evening. Reminders and Siri • Tell Siri to remind you "when I get home" and Shasks sets a location reminder for your saved place. • Link any Reminders list to your Inbox, an area or a project. Swipes • New default swipes: swipe right to Schedule or Indent, swipe left to Delete (with Undo) or open Details. Swipes you've customized stay as they are. Widgets • A large Today widget, and slightly bigger text in every widget. • The list widget works on the Home Screen, in each list's own order, with filters for priority, flag, tags, Waiting and Delegated. Repeating tasks and projects • A repeating project's template shows when it repeats and can create the next copy early. • Deleting an older copy of a repeating task just deletes it, with Undo. Browse • Collapse Projects in Browse, in Settings › Customization › Advanced, folds each area's projects into one row. • A project stays out of Browse until its start date. • The area icon picker has a set of Shasks icons, and the Spaces sheet can group by Space. • Spaces are rearranged in Edit Spaces now, rather than by dragging in Browse. Tasks • Quick Add's ••• menu has Task Details, which saves the task and opens it. • Waiting and Delegated show in the top row of a task's long-press menu, so one tap turns them off. • A + button shortcut can open a picker for List, Date, Deadline, Flag, Tag or Location. Polish • Two new app icons: Inverted and Inverted Flat White. • Task Detail slides up cleanly, with no grey band at the bottom. • Upcoming's week row keeps the day you tap selected. • The Today calendar card folds smoothly and remembers whether it's open. • Faster Search and smoother editing in long lists.

Search • A redesigned Search tab with quick filters, recently viewed items and recent searches. Dates and times • A simpler Date sheet and a new Time chip: pick Morning, Afternoon or Evening, or turn on a specific time. • Evening is now a part of the day rather than 6 PM, and its reminders ring at your Evening hour. Repeating tasks and projects • Edit Future Copies changes the subtasks and details every new copy of a repeating task or project gets. • A Replace Unfinished Copy switch in the Repeat sheet. Lists and Browse • Section headers fold away with a chevron and show how many tasks they hold. • Projects can belong straight to a Space, and you can drag projects and Spaces to rearrange Browse. • Choose which tabs show; hidden ones become rows at the top of Browse. Tasks • Hold a shortcut on the + to fan out up to three more shortcuts. • A task's location shows your saved place's name, like Home or Gym. Apple Watch • New Upcoming and Lists screens, actions on reminders, and adding tasks with Siri.

Repeating tasks • Editing a repeating task asks whether to save it for this task only or for future tasks too, and it works offline. • Changes that can't carry forward, like tags, say so instead of being quietly dropped. Today • Calendar events have their own card above your tasks, with the event happening now highlighted. • The evening section is called Evening, and you can drag the + onto it. Dates • A redesigned date picker: Today, Tomorrow and Someday up top, a calendar that swipes between months, and switches for Time and Repeat. Navigation • New tab bar option in Settings › Customization › Navigation, with Browse, Inbox, Today, Upcoming and Search tabs. • Reorder the tabs and choose which one the app opens on. • Switching tabs is quicker. Lists • Every section in a project or area ends with a blank row; tap it to add a task there. • Drag to reorder pinned lists and Spaces. • Filter by more than one Space at once. Attachments • Attach from a task's long-press menu, or paste a photo or file straight into a task. Apple Watch • Complications update in the background, and Add Task and Dictate Task open input straight away. • Tapping a task shows its details; tap the circle to complete it. Polish • A refreshed app icon. • An offline indicator with Retry Sync. • Clearer undo messages for date changes.

Works offline • Edits made without a connection are saved and sent in order when you're back online — even after closing the app. • Settings > Sync > Pending Changes shows anything that couldn't be sent, with Retry. Subtasks • Subtasks sit under the title with a done count; Return adds the next one. • Ticking a subtask is instant, with Undo. • In Today, a task with subtasks folds open with the arrow. Repeating tasks • Every repeating task has a History card — a month calendar, list view, and your streak. • Repeating Items lives in Browse; tapping one opens its current copy. • Deleting a copy asks whether to delete just this one or stop repeating. Adding tasks • Tap below any list to add a task right there — in the Inbox, Today, areas and projects. • Type dates like "tomorrow 3pm", "30 days" or "the 30th", plus !priority, @tags and #lists. • The share sheet now looks like Quick Add and saves the moment you tap the check button. Polish • A new app icon. • Settings are reorganized, with Account first. • A cleaner long-press menu, and Duplicate for projects. • Smoother scrolling in areas, projects and the Inbox. • Lists no longer scroll past their last task.

Routines: filter habits by list, rename them, change how they repeat, and add a note to any day. • Filters: each filter gets its own chip — tap one to switch just that filter off, or long-press the filter button to switch them all off. • Stopping a repeat now works reliably, and a stopped repeat can be turned back on. • Deleting an area now spells out exactly what will be removed. • Tasks carried over from an earlier day no longer show that day's time. • Fixes and polish, including the keyboard's corners in light mode.
