shop with no sign, the price you were quoted, and who to ask for. A map app can
take you to an address. Backspot takes you back to YOUR spot, with everything
you knew about it.
ONE TAP, SAVED
Tap once and the exact spot you're standing on is saved. Add a name, a note, a
photo or a voice note — now, or later. Save straight from Siri, Spotlight or the
Action Button without even opening the app.

Underground car parks. Market lanes. Festival fields. Trailheads. Compass Mode
gives you a full-screen needle and a live distance using only your phone's GPS
and compass — no network, no map tiles. It even taps your wrist when you're
facing the right way, so you can follow it without looking.
REMINDED WHEN YOU'RE BACK NEARBY
Turn on an arrival reminder and Backspot quietly watches for your return —
"You're near Free 3h parking" — even with the app closed. No constant tracking:
it uses Apple's geofencing, not a running GPS.

No account. No ads. No analytics. Your places live on your device, sync through
your own private iCloud, and export to an ordinary .zip backup you keep wherever
you like.

Deleting a place now works reliably. Previously a deleted place could linger
invisibly and block you from saving that same spot again.
• Arrival reminders now alert you when you actually come back — not the moment
you switch them on. The real reminder no longer gets skipped.
• Voice notes no longer get stuck on "Listening" if a call or alarm interrupts
you, and tapping the mic twice can't cut a recording short.
• Restoring a backup is safer: if it fails, your library is left exactly as it was.
• Large backups and photo saving no longer freeze the app.
• Clearer wording on the location permission screens.
