This update fixed some issues with the app: * Alerts and confirmation dialogs in the app might not have a proper “Cancel” button on iOS 18. This version fixes the issue with the viewfinder: now you can tap to focus and swipe up/down to adjust exposure.

Happy 2026! HRZN is updated for the new year with improvements on UI and the photography experience. ◎ Camera improvements You can now use hardware buttons to take a photo, including the volume up/down buttons and the dedicated camera button on certain devices. We also improved the zooming experience — you can easily swap to another focal length by tapping the buttons, instead of fiddling with a slider. ◎ iCloud sync for presets Your preset collection is saved and synced to iCloud, so that you can have the same set of presets on all your devices. When you migrate to a new iPhone, your presets should download automatically, too. ◎ iCloud Family Sharing We are making HRZN Pro membership eligible for iCloud Family Sharing. You can now share your purchase with up to 5 other people in the same family. ◎ Liquid Glass on OS 26 We adopted the Liquid Glass design for iOS and iPadOS 26, but kept the app compatible to iOS 18.2+. Widgets on Lock Screen and Home Screen are also updated to look modern and consistent regardless of the Home Screen appearance you choose. ◎ Improved iPad support HRZN now supports the camera in all 4 orientations, and you can use the app in a window. This works for both iOS/iPadOS 18 and 26. ◎ Invisible housekeeping We gutted the app’s code base to prepare it for more timely and regular updates in the future. Hi there! Version 5.3 is out with a few touch-ups: * You can rename your presets! Provide a custom name of your presets, and you can distinguish those using the same Artistic Style. * Improved imaging: we improved the imaging pipeline so that the filters are applied before any image compression takes effect. You may notice less artifact produced from the imaging process. * Miscellaneous fixes: We addressed a few bugs that caused the app to crash or to drain the battery unnecessarily when the camera isn't in use. ## New Preset ## Introducing Marigold, our latest addition to the preset family. Marigold is a modern, colourful film preset that brings out the warmth in your photos. It's perfect for the fall when things are turning red, golden and brown. ## iPhone 14 Pro Support ## We are adding support for iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Tapping the zoom button will toggle between 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0x zoom levels that are available on these models. Version 4.3.1 fixed some bugs and addressed a few issues that affected performance: * Some users were seeing original filter for CN-400 and CR-800 film effects. Fixed. * The camera might get stuck when switching between front- and rear-facing cameras. Fixed. * The app might become irresponsive upon first launch. Fixed. Switching film presets now feels a lot smoother, too, as a result. * The app might read location data more frequently than necessary. Fixed. Now HRZN only receives location updates when you move off a certain distance on earth, and it saves some battery life in the process. * Some users were having issues when saving photos. Fixed.
