The biggest Lumecast update yet: gifts are now real pieces of the sky, and the whole room lights up when you give together. SKY GIFTS - Over 100 gifts drawn from the real night sky: 88 constellations, comets, nebulae and galaxies, up to a Supernova, a Black Hole and the Big Bang. Each one plays across everyone's screen at once, with its name and a line about what it is. - Three new larger Lux packs make the biggest gifts easy to send in one go. ALIGNMENT - When people gift together, the room lights a fuse. Five levels of shows build up, from stars lining up, to a constellation, to planets in orbit, an aurora storm and a radiant sun, then a supernova finale in colour. - The bar shows what the next level brings, and the sky names whoever lit it. It waits for each gift to finish so nothing is lost. CAST GOALS - Hit a goal and the room is rewarded with a space scene sized to the goal, from a satellite and a moon landing to a rocket, a ringed planet, a hyperspace jump and the Multiverse. MAKE YOUR ARRIVAL YOURS - Flair: rings round your avatar, name styles and entrance shows that play when you join a cast. Rings and name colours appear on the Watch tab and in chat too. - Halo: a glow round your avatar that grows as you support the community, with its own arrival shooting star. - Streak Freeze keeps your daily streak alive if you miss a day. BRING PEOPLE IN - Invite friends, or invite a caster, from Profile. Cast and invite links open straight in Lumecast. - You get a notification when someone joins through your link. BUILT FOR iPHONE DUO - Goal and Alignment bars sit on the room page, never over the host's face. Sign-in and screens keep a comfortable width on every posture. - A refreshed first-run tour shows what's new. - Casting from the front camera is now upright and framed for your viewers in every posture, and the rear camera and dual-camera mode turn the right way up too. - Buttons, Share and the panel close buttons now stay clear of the Duo's camera cutout. - Your cast title is now a compact scrolling field, so the buttons beside it have room. - With chat hidden, the camera controls handle tucks into the corner instead of floating over your cast. Plus many stability and layout fixes.

Lumecast is live video for small rooms: go live, let your orbit in, and light up the room with stars and gifts. This update is for iPhone Duo launch week. Built for iPhone Duo • Fold or unfold mid-cast and the camera follows you: Lumecast asks the device which lens is facing you now, so your face stays in the face pane whichever way the hinge is. • Unfolded, your cast takes one page while the room — chat, gifts, guest seats — takes the other. Nothing covers the video. • Half-fold it into a camcorder: video up top, controls on the flat half. • Sideways or upright, tap a pane to focus it and the other caster tucks in beside it as an orb. Tap the orb to swap. Stars where you can see them • With two people on camera, stars from the room now burst over the stage instead of hiding in the chat. Also in this release • A fresh cast is a fresh room: no leftover chat or stage from the last one. • Dual cam: your face and your view side by side, on devices that can run both cameras at once. • Lighter on the battery, calmer animations, screen stays awake while you cast or watch.
