You are the sea. Hold to gather a wave, let go, and wash a sandcastle back into the ocean, one grain at a time.
Every castle on the beach was always going to return to the sea. Tidewash is a quiet, tactile game about helping it get there. The sand is simulated grain by grain: wet sand darkens and slumps, towers lean, tremble and fall, and the backwash carries it all out to deep water.
Collect the shells your waves turn up and spend them on upgrades. Raise your waves, gather faster, bring in the tide, and the sea takes back a little more each time.
HOW IT PLAYS
- Hold to charge, aim with the height of your finger, let go to send the wave
- Let go the moment the ring glows for a Perfect Wave
- Keep a steady rhythm to build a Wave Set, and your waves grow stronger
- Upgrade the Tide and waves roll in on their own while the app is open
FIVE BEACHES, AND FURTHER
- Town Beach, Tidepool Cove, Moonlight Beach, Storm Point and The Cliffs, from afternoon into night
- Moonlight Beach shows tonight's real moon, and spring tides bring the water higher
- Call in a storm at Storm Point, and hold longer at The Cliffs for a Great Wave
- Wash all five flat and the sea has more to show you: five far shores, each with sand that behaves in its own way
BARE HANDS
- No upgrades, no shop, the same start for everyone: just your waves and the clock
- Opens once the five beaches are done, with Game Center leaderboards and achievements

- 12 rare shells and sea glass to spot on wet sand, 15 short poems in drifting bottles, keepsakes from further away
- Hermit crabs, gulls, passing weather, and a photo of the beach to share
