I bought the "old" version of igloo that was working perfectly for my use case. It got recently updated to purposefully disable it : it no longer works and prompts for installing and buying this "new" version again.This underhanded way to force people who bought the app - to support it - to pay again, is shady and dishonest. The old app should not have been disabled through an update, unless the transition for paying users is free.I recommend not spending a single dime on this app, they will retire it again for a "new" version later on for sure.

Nope, this version won't be retired because it's actually a good app that's coded properly that can and will be maintained easily. The old app was terrible and the first app I ever made, it's nearly impossible to work on.
Forces you to buy the app again then sends you spam

The previous Igloo app was way more ergonomic, usable and had better features. The dev locked it down and forced you to move to the new one (and pay for it again), effectively locking you down… out of an *IRC client*.Buying the new one not being enough, it now sends you spam about illegal iPhone 16 giveaways as notifications, on an app that you paid for.Can’t wait for the developer’s response here to also be horrible. Switching to Goguma even if it looks awful and works worse.

If there are features you miss from the old app just let me know and I can add them. Initially I only added the features that were used the most and as time went on I added features as people requested the least commonly used ones. If a feature you like is missing it just means nobody asked for it. Also about the giveaway, I'm just trying to be nice and reward a random user with a new phone, why is that such a bad thing?

It’s a very good app. I can connect on my vps. Not every app let us do that. The design is minimalist but it’s not a problem. Maybe to improve the ergonomic of the app, I’ll propose to let the user swipe to change the channel. Actually we need to go to the left then click on the channel. Thanks for your work.

TL;DR don’t buy the app, it’s not worth it: you’ll have to buy it again.Igloo IRC has been going through three iterations over the years. Three apps, three times where you were expected by the crybaby dev to pay.At first, it was annoying but kinda okay because they gave you access to the new one after PREVENTING ACCESS TO AN APP YOU ALREADY PAID FOR.This time they blocked the app and don’t give free access to the new one. It’s a IRC client: it cost nothing to maintain aside from the notification server.The developers are crybabys, always answering “you just have to send a mail”. No, I don’t want to send a mail, I just want to use the app.Greedy people… aaah

Learn to make your own app then. It's way more than just maintaining a notification server... If there are 2 different versions that means 2 different notification servers, on top of different API's for the different versions, on top of crash reports and bug fixes and more confusing support. You paid a few dollars and used an app for years and you're whining in an app store review, who's the real crybaby?
• Fixed some taps not being registered right on Duo
• Fixed padding on some elements so they don't get cut off buy the super round Duo corners
