Cordialement

Developer Response ,

Thank you! We’re so glad to know you’re enjoying Marvis’ customisations and features.

Before I respond to the suggestions, I’d just like to mention that I don’t understand French, I translated the review, so forgive me in case I misunderstood somethings.

1. Localisation to French and in fact many other languages is planned after v3.1 is launched which is almost finished and shall be launched in first week of May. I truly appreciate that you are willing to help us localise Marvis in French. Please contact us via Marvis Settings or Twitter @marvis_music and I’ll let you know once I begin the work on localisation. Thanks again.

2. Ability to change section titles was always planned, we have made provisions for it in our code just haven’t enabled a way to edit then in App. Surely planned, maybe in 3.1 but cannot promise.

3. Lyrics: In case you’re not aware, lyrics are copyrighted and they need to be licensed separately similar to Songs, to be able to fetch and present lyrics we must have the legal authority & permissions and need to pay the copyright holders. Musixmatch is an extension and it can be used since it simply opens their app’s UI and they have the necessary rights. If we could find a service that’s legal and lets us use their lyrics database for free with attribution, we will try and implement it, but I just hope you know it may not be possible to do it legally without paying high amounts of royalties.

5. Unfortunately, iOS doesn’t provide us authority to delete items from the Library or Playlists. If they ever change this in future, we’ll quickly add support for this.

6. Again, like you already would be aware, iOS doesn’t provide us a way to edit the queue, there is a way to do this, but it leads to other limitations. We will provide the other option in a future update and let you choose which one you want to use, we’ll also mention the limitations of using it so you can choose better.

Thanks for such a nice review. Looking forward to hear from you.

UPDATE: Sorry I missed to reply to one of your points.

4. Opening of Sidebar is actually an interactive gesture that moves along with your finger. There’s actually a cool gesture to use the sidebar, you can check it out on Marvis website or in the next version of Marvis we’ve included a video inside the App.
