Brightridge était prometteur, Vandgels est achevé: univers très agrandi, narratif bien plus étoffé. Surtout, la fluidité est en énorme progrès. Le tout avec un code optimisé, d’une compacité rafraîchissante pour un jeu iOS aussi ambitieux, et toujours réalisé en solitaire. En revanche, on perd la compatibilité avec de nombreux phones et tablettes de 2e génération : pour iPhone SE au minimum.
