The report is finished before you leave the building. Defect reporting usually happens twice: once on site with a phone and a notebook, then again that evening, matching photographs to a spreadsheet and trying to remember which crack was in which room. Rectify removes the second pass. Photograph the defect. Mark the exact spot on the photo. Say what is wrong. That is the report — Rectify assembles the PDF, numbered and evidenced, ready to send before you have left the lobby. NOTHING GETS LOST Every photograph belongs to the defect it evidences, not to a camera roll. Six weeks later, when someone asks which crack you meant, the answer is on the page with a number against it. ONE REGISTER, NOT FIVE REPORTS A defect keeps its number from the first inspection through every re-inspection to closeout. You are not rebuilding a list every visit — you are updating the same one, and the report shows exactly what is still owed. EVIDENCE THAT ENDS ARGUMENTS A dated, marked-up photograph is harder to dispute than a line in a spreadsheet. Status is explicit and it carries: open, rectified, verified, closed.
