RemoteGate is an SSH terminal app for iPhone and iPad. It was created to solve a common frustration with existing mobile terminal apps: entering Korean and Japanese comfortably in a terminal environment. RemoteGate is designed to make native-language input feel more natural when using both the software keyboard and external hardware keyboards. It is useful when connecting to remote servers for development work, server management, or using AI agents such as Codex and Claude directly from the terminal. When working with AI agents, prompts often need to be written in your native language. RemoteGate helps make that experience smoother on iPhone and iPad, especially for users who frequently enter Korean, Japanese, or other non-English text. RemoteGate is a simple SSH client focused on the essentials. You can add hosts, save authentication keys, choose a terminal theme, and connect quickly to your remote server. You can also configure a script to run automatically when connecting to a host. For example, you can set up a tmux command in advance to automatically attach to an existing session or start a new one when you connect. This makes it easier to manage persistent terminal sessions from a mobile device.
