SideCheck is a fact-check companion while reading news or social media. In this age of firehose of information it is the responsibility of each one of us as a responsible citizen to fact check before sharing anything we read on social media or on the internet. Either sharing by word of mouth or on social media. SideCheck helps in this endeavor by making fact-checking as a one-step process. Just copy the text of what you want to feat-check. Go to the SideCheck app, click on the "Fact-Check !" button. Voila ! The app opens an in-app browser sheet that searches your text using the search engine of your choice ! You can click through links , browse and when you are done , just swipe down the sheet to dismiss. The app becomes especially useful as it utilizes the Universal Clipboard feature of the apple ecosystem. You can copy text to fact-check on any of your Apple Devices and use SideCheck on iPhone and iPad. The app especially shines as an iPad app in SplitView or SlideOver. It can be your side companion fact-check app while your news/social media content takes up the roomy screen content. Depending on the usage frequency you can have the app as a SlideOver window or SplitView app ! Update in 2.0 SideCheck gets two new abilities: Widgets and Share Extension support ! Two new gorgeous widgets help you to access SideCheck in newer, easier ways with just a single tap on the widgets ! Also wherever you can select text on screen, after selecting text, Tap on the " " on the overlay menu till you see "Share", Tap on "Share" Choose "SideCheck" from the iOS share-sheet, SideCheck automatically opens an in-app browser sheet that searches the text you just shared, using the search engine of your choice ! You can click through links, browse and when you are done, just swipe down the sheet to dismiss ! Optionally, change your search engine and click the Fact-Check button to fact-check the text you just shared to SideCheck :) Bonus : SideCheck now remembers your search engine choice across app launches ! Updates in 3.0 Fact Check with just your voice ! Just select and copy the text you want to fact check and launch Siri and say "Fact Check with SideCheck" ! With the magic of Siri Shortcuts, SideCheck launches and searches the text you selected with the search engine of your choice !
