This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. SpeakEasy 4 is a major update which we are thrilled to offer our customers as a free update. Every part of the app has been refreshed and refined. We hope you love it! What’s New in SpeakEasy 4? ---------------------------- • App design has been modernized to fit in with the latest iOS. • In-app purchases have been removed. The bundle pack is now included for free as part of the app. • Completely redesigned Flashcards screen. Flashcards now behave like a physical deck of cards. • Your “Favorites” can now be viewed as their own Flashcard deck. • Native support for iPhone X and iPad Pro. • Support for split-screen multitasking on supported iPads.

• Flashcards! Our most popular feature request, by far, is finally here. Our flashcards show English on the front and French on the back. Just drag your finger to flip the card over and see the other side. If you'd prefer to have French on the front instead of the back, this can be changed in Settings. • Menu Icons! We've added some great new icons to the main menu, to provide a quick visual reference for each category.

• Brand new look specifically designed for iOS 7. • New layout that provides instant access to Search and Favorites without having to go back to the main menu. • Support for US English, UK English and Canadian English spelling. In the UK, you'll no longer have to spell "colour" as "color"… and your "Favourites" list will now be spelt correctly. • Hide the phonetics. If you're a pro and don't need the extra assistance, the phonetics can be hidden. • You can now copy the translations to the clipboard, so you can paste them into an email, text message, or any other app. • Search terms are now highlighted in the results. • Animated tutorial to demonstrate the slow-play audio feature and how to add a phrase to your Favorites list. • Designed for iOS 7. • Favorites! This was our most common feature request. Now you can add any phrase to your "Favorites" list with a simple swipe of your finger. • Hold-to-play! A new feature that plays the audio at a slower speed. Just hold your finger on a phrase, and the audio will play more slowly to assist learning. Tap to play at the regular speed. (iOS 5+ required). • Phrase pack downloading now supports auto-resume. Some people previously had difficulty downloading our add-on phrase packs. With auto-resume, interrupted downloads will now resume where they left off. • iPad Retina Display support.
