Wandering Node is a cozy idle game about a small robot and the house he drives through the end of the world. You don't drive. You leave a memo. Type a note at the old terminal, in plain words: "look for copper in the ruins", "stay put until the storm is over", "build the air filter". Node reads it, answers in his own voice and gets to work. He understands English and German, right on your phone, with no account and no internet connection. Then put the phone away. Node lives on your clock. He rolls on through the Sand Desert, the Ruined City, the Scrap Graveyard, the Salt Flat and the Ash Field, gathers scrap, takes it apart at the workbench and keeps the crawler running while you're gone. When you come back, a page from his logbook tells you what happened. THINGS TO FIND OUT THERE - A cut-open house on tracks, warmly lit, that grows with every upgrade: reinforced tracks, a crane arm, a water still, a battery bank, a storm shield - The Scrap Mine: Node walks in and hands you the pick. Every swing digs deeper and shakes the wall. Get the cart out before it comes down. - Super Scrap: a lump with a hard shell and a glowing core. Crack it open in one of three little games. - Stops on the road: a wreck to strip, a storm cell to catch lightning from, a fallen satellite, a bunker hatch that may not be empty - A drone made from an oil can, sent out for scrap. Three flights, if it comes back at all. - Dangers that come with each land, from sandstorms to scrap slides and radioactive gas - The Scrap Vultures: Condor and his drones race Node to the wrecks, sneak onto the roof in the evening and take him on in a weekly league - Magpie's cart: clothes for Node and things for the cabin, paid with gold dimes melted from spare parts. Every week, one legendary thing: a paint job for the crawler or a new face for Node. - Arcade games on an old handheld, among them PLASMA CUT and FUSE BOX, a radio to listen in on, and an archive of everything people left behind - Strays that move into the bunk - Day and night that follow your own time - Game Center achievements and leaderboards, if you switch them on HE LEARNS, AND HE ASKS Tell Node the same thing twice and he sticks a note on his monitor; next time he does it on his own. On quiet evenings by the window he asks you things, about the stars or the world before. He remembers what you said. And one day he asks your name. No ads. No account. No tracking. Just Node, the road, and your memos.

Halloween on the road, until 2 November: a carved pumpkin head for Node that he gets to keep, a glowing pumpkin on the deck and bats at night, Magpie in costume with a pumpkin paint job, pumpkins in PLASMA CUT and a rare find for the archive. New rivals, the Scrap Vultures: Condor and his three drones want the same wrecks as Node. Race them, share or trick them; scare them off the roof in the evening before they pinch your scrap (a dog aboard barks along and helps); listen to the radio, where Condor now and then blabs about a find of circuit boards or magnets, and get there before his gang; and win the weekly league for a pennant on the mast. Two new arcade games: PLASMA CUT and FUSE BOX. Game Center: achievements and leaderboards. Switch it on behind the gear up top. Out in the yard, Node now digs for scrap with a shovel. The clock and the range sit beside the notch now, so there's more sky. Radio trades now arrive by drone a few seconds after you accept, not a minute and a half later. If the hull wears down to 0 %, the crawler stands still until it's repaired. A broken engine now stops it while you're away, too. A button to rate the game, in the settings.
