Very useful app that saves you time and saves you forgetting receipts

I’m a big fan of this app, which I pay for, it saves me loads of time at the end of the tax year and makes my tax return a lot more streamlined. The fact you can email receipts in as well is such a great idea and the app fills out all the important information for you and creates really useful CSVs at the end of the year. I’m on the iPhone 11 Pro and currently when I go to take pictures of receipts it shows me image as captured through the telephoto lens, but saves an image from the standard lens (I guess this has something to do with capture outside the frame which this phone can do, although I have turned this functionality off on the iPhone), this can result in error messages coming up in the app if you inadvertently capture text outside your receipt. So currently I just import photos of receipts from my camera roll and hopefully soon this capture issue can be resolved. Otherwise it’s a great app and service. Thanks!

I purchased an annual subscription but the app wouldn’t accept that I had paid and I couldn’t use it. After going back and forth with the tech support we eventually got to the bottom of it. It shouldn’t have been that hard (and I’m really not a tech idiot) and I decided that I wasn’t happy about trusting my business finances to it, so I asked for a refund - the app terms offer 14 days no quibble. My main concern was being trapped in subscription for an app I didn’t want for the rest of my life. ITap told me that if you buy via the Apple app store you have to contact apple to cancel the subscription and get your money back. So I to go ta apple. No response. I send a note to 1Tap - not their problem they told me. So in frustration, go to PayPal and open a dispute. A week went by and no-one contacted me. So I go to Apple, who told me that they had arranged for Paypal to refund me. Another week goes by, PayPal tell me that they have not heard anything from Apple. So I go to 1Tap who tell me it’s not their problem. I go to Apple, they tell me they’ve done their bit and it’s not their problem and that it’s down to Paypal/ I go to Paypal and they tell me that neither Apple or 1Tap have contacted them. We had groundhog day for another week. Anyway, yesterday, I got an email from Paypal telling me that because the vendor (Apple or 1Tap) made no attempt to respond to my dispute ticket, they were finding in my favour and I got my money back and my subscription cancelled. Apple lied to me at least 3 times. iTap wanted nothing to do with it (despite the fact that it’s their brand and their product). If it wasn’t for Paypal, I’d still be waiting.

Love it. Simple and easy to use. I can take photos of my receipts or forward invoices via email. Realy easy. Just load the receipt or invoice, it comes up when its done, then you can forget about it. No more keeping a million receipts and trying to work out what category its ment to be in and spending hours on tax returns. All you do is send the report to your email, print it off and use that as a guide to fill out the tax return form. Easy. All I need to know now or work out now is how much income I get. It took me 10 minutes this year to fill out my tax return. I reccomend 100% and tell everyone all about it. I upgraded and it’s not expensive either. You can upload 10 recripts per month on the free version or there was a couple of other options. I can upload up to 50 receipts per month for only £20/year. Thats plenty enough for me and at a good price too. :) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So far I’ve photographed my receipts, emailed and manually added for hand written rent receipts. The email and photograph takes the total amount and allows you to deduct non taxable items, perfect for motorway fuel and food stops. It also takes the date and company name. You can then add them to tags such as materials, rent, travel or what ever you want. I doubled mine up as a financial tracker for projects and all fuel, materials etc listed under the project tag. This way I can easily obtain a running total. It’s a great app with many more features. Well worth it!

The email and photograph takes the total amount and allows you to deduct non taxable items, perfect for motorway fuel and food stops. It also takes the date and company name. This way I can easily obtain a running total. It’s a great app with many more features. Well worth it!
