Bloodstained:RotN 9+

Controller support is poor and needs some work. Ideally once the game is launched I want to be able to place the iPad down and not touch it again until I’m finished playing. However touch is required for the menus, to pause and open/navigate inventory and is also required for certain spells in-game as far as I could tell.
As far as the actual game goes, so far so good. Mobile is lacking in quality metroidvanias and I’m looking forward to playing through this once proper controller support is added. Castlevania symphony of the night holds a special place in my heart, naturally I want to check this out and soak in all the nostalgic vibes I can.

Truly a brilliant game - played directly after the iOS port of Symphony of the night so on screen controls not too big of an issue as I’m used to them.

However the game has crashed every time I try to enter the boss area (spoiler) in the hall of termination after the second zangestu fight (end of spoiler). I’m on IPhone XR, do not have an up to date iPad that I could work around it on. Going to try some fixes but this does need to be worked on as I cannot progress with anything until it’s fixed

The game runs amazing and is really smooth to play through.
However, one problem i wish i knew before hand is that the game doesn't actually provide physical controller support. But nevertheless, the game is still pretty good for a mobile port.
Games such as Castlevania SotN provide physical controller support, so i figured id give Bloodstained a try and ran into the problem of not being able to play with a controller, which had kind of saddened me.
