Complicated, annoying, and flawed!!!😩

I can easily judge an app by how it makes me feel, and the impression it leaves, after I've used it for the first time. So believe it or not, this app actually DOES WORK on my Windows laptop. I purchased a DRM protected book, therefore I had no choice but to read it on this app, on my PC. It was cool to begin with. I was reading my book with minimal fuss and hardly any problems! I also still was able to read my previous book purchase.
However, since l discovered this app was available for the iPad, my opinion changed dramatically! First of all, if you had an app that was available on at least two of your personal devices, then why wouldn't you want to have your data or books to be accessible on both. Which is why I don't understand why Adobe's policy for authorising computers/devices is so complicated, annoying, and dead hard to understand! I had to create, not one, but TWO additional Adobe ID accounts, to authorise both apps (on iPad and PC). After I authorised the iPad app for the first time, I couldn't download my NEWEST book, yet my other books were there!!!

Completely pointless, unintuitive and difficult to use

I have to use Adobe Digital Editions to download library e-books to my old e-reader but it is so completely pointless and difficult to use that I am pretty much tearing my hair out. Yes I can just as well read the library books on my iPad but I quite like the e-reader as it’s much more like reading a real book with no distractions (email, games, news, messages …….) Now it suddenly just says download failed and when I try to return the book in BorrowBox to the library it won’t let me as it says I have to use ADE. I try to find how to return it through the ADE app but there seems to be no return button (or I couldn’t find it in the app even after extensive google searches) I did discover how to delete the books in ADE but that didn’t help at all as now I have no books in the app to return! Such a stupid, user unfriendly, unintuitive, pointless ….. need I say more.

Terrible on phone

Is this actually made by Adobe? The screen isn’t compatible with a phone, it cuts text off at the top and bottom so you literally can’t read lines of text. You can change text size but can’t change anything about the screen so there is no way to fix this. There is also a really annoying line down the left hand side of the screen on some pages.

Then there is the page turning animation which is super janky, for a second the entire screen just turns blank. Then as the text comes up you have a couple of seconds of the text being stupidly blurry. So as you turn a page you have to wait 3 or 4 seconds before you can continue reading.

It’s not intuitive how to return to the home menu while your reading a book and I’ve really no idea how this passed any sort of testing what so ever. Just a few simple fixes and this could actually be useable
