Advanced Car Eye 3.0 4+

I purchased a new Mini Countryman and had the ACE 3.0 with front and rear cameras fitted. General the camera system works well, great image quality, the parking mode provides reassurance when leaving the car in car parks. But I have a few issues with the system and iPhone app. Firstly using the app I set the volume for the voice assistant and bleep signals, after an couple of journeys the volume has reset itself to zero, I am now resetting the volume every day before setting off on a trip. Secondly when you want to view old recordings you need to switch off car play on the iPhone, why, this does not make sense, it would be great is to be able to view old recordings on the dash via car play when the engine is switched off. Finally videos are only 1 min long so find a particular incident can be tricky, I would prefer an option in the app to set the recording duration to something like 1, 5, 10, 15 mins . In general a good product and app but need some issues sorting out.

Overall a good camera with settings menu easy to operate. If there was an option for live view without connecting to the camera via Bluetooth then I would of given 5 stars

Not impressed by this product. You need to be in your car to use the app. The car needs to be on and connected to wifi in order to update the dashcam firmware. It will crash whenever you try to update the firmware. You cannot use the dashcam unless the firmware is updated. The app will crash when trying to download a video from the dashcam, once you finally get past the firmware issue by persisting over a dozen times.

In essence, this is the worst product from BMW I have seen and it is so bad I will be contacting my local dealership to get my money back. Thank god I bought the two dashcams, which were £900 btw, on my credit card.
