Great game...but not very disabled friendly
I love Haiku games but they always have a level or two that you just can’t do unless your hands are agile enough - wish they gave menu options for less dextrous players
Excellent game. Here's why.
Haiku games are always worth paying and are consistently superior to other similar games on the marketplace. This one is a sequel to the original "Hidden Ruins" Haiku game, extending the story. It has the right balance of humour and drama, with plenty of on-target observations and hilarious comments from the characters. The puzzles are unusual, artwork is top quality and the characters are all believable. That said, Haiku game protagonists (and topics) are almost always female. Try to remember that guys like to play these games, too.
This "Dark Ruins" game is well balanced and has plenty of puzzles to challenge you. The hint system works very well, too. The individual challenges sometimes have an initial free hint that act as instructions for some of the more trickier puzzles, which is a clever way to provide help.
The bottom line? We thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Heartily recommended!
The only complaint? There aren't enough Haiku games,. We've almost played them all and were running out.
Great game
I’m really enjoying haiku games and this one is the best yet! The setting and 'other world' story hang together with humour. The way you follow different characters keeps it really engaging. There is a great range of puzzles testing a lot of skills.
Couple of suggestions: Just sometimes I’d like more free hints as to what you actually have to do - I don’t want to use stars to understand the game play. And occasionally I think there might be more than one answer but the game only accepts one - (eg like the crocodile barrier fence or no identical symbols in the triangle rows. )
