Adventure Escape: Haunted Hunt 9+

I can’t see any reason to give less than five stars - the puzzles are at a nice level. Not too hard but also not so easy that it’s boring. This game keeps me entertained for ages! I really like the set up - controls are easy to navigate and everything has clearly been well thought out. Clues and puzzles tie in nicely. Probably one of the best things about this game is that stars for clues are hidden around the scene for you to find - so rather than watching an ad or purchasing clues, the amount that you have is down to how much attention you pay. Also was happily surprised when I finished the first chapter to find that I was able to continue and wasn’t met with the ever infuriating “now you’re hooked you’ve got to buy the rest” I haven’t finished yet but that’s my experience of the game so far. Awesome job - definitely one of the top escape games on AppStore!

Just finished this game and really enjoyed it. I’ve seen games before that have a puzzle story but they always seem to include loads of pointless ‘find the hidden objects’ parts to them which, frankly, bore me to tears. Found this game and some of the other reviews said it wasn’t like that - they were right.
The puzzles lead you to elements that you need to complete it. The story was interesting and there are no ads apart from the occasional one for other games by the same company (which I am going to pick something from now!).
All in all, very enjoyable with many elements to commend it, not least of which, this is an indie game with indie/freelance designers which is nice to see. And other designers/companies out there - this is how you do a puzzle/mystery game without lots of pointless clicking and finding!

Almost all the free games available are ones where you need to find hundreds of pointless objects. I’m fed up with those. I was so thrilled to find theses Haiku games where you hunt for clues and solve actual puzzles. And I must say that I find these genuinely challenging. These games take me hours to solve. The suggestion by someone else to be able to watch adverts to gain extra stars would be useful as I ate those stars up using the clues when I had no clue what was needed to solve a puzzle. I have to confess to searching online for extra clues. Thoroughly enjoying working my way through the various ones available. I have completed 2 so far.
