Description

Andante is a music practice journal that helps you stay organized, consistent, and motivated with your practice. Track practice time for any instrument like violin, piano, guitar, and more. Improve your practice with tools like timers and metronome, and stay motivated with streaks, goals, and charts.

Andante is a musical term that describes a simple, walking pace that feels calm and serene while always moving forward with intention. That idea is the core of this app: a music practice journal that promotes calm, meditative practice as you progress through your musical journey.

Andante Practice Journal provides one place to keep a log of your practice sessions as well as a journal where you can write about anything on your mind, so you don’t have to keep track of everything in your head. You can track your mood and focus to identify patterns in your practicing so you can achieve the most meditative, productive practice possible. You can keep yourself motivated to keep moving forward with intention by setting goals and seeing your statistics visualized. Lastly, you can improve your musicianship and practice with simple tools like a metronome, audio recorder, and drone tuner.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPER
My name is Miles, and I’m a musician who recently graduated college. I originally started making Andante to help myself with my violin practice, as I found writing down the times and some notes on my practice sessions helped me stay motivated and less stressed. I hope that Andante can help with your practice journey!

The perfect practice companion!

I absolutely adore this app! Its UI is remarkably elegant and visually appealing. It offers all the essential features one could desire for practice sessions, including a metronome and tuner, which are effortlessly accessible and flawlessly functional, without any unnecessary extras. Additionally, the straightforward process of keeping a practice log and recording sessions adds to its user-friendliness. However, the standout feature for me is undoubtedly the run streak. As someone who often struggles to maintain a consistent practice routine yet adamantly refuses to break their run streak on Duo Lingo, the app’s widget prominently displays this feature on the Home Screen, serving as a constant source of motivation. I’m so grateful to the developer and thrilled to support such a wonderful app!

Very useful little app

I started playing again after a long gap and need to be supercritical if I’m to get back to where I was. The virtue of this is its simplicity. I like being able to write notes in two places, as I usually plan my next practice on what went less well this time, so I can use the journal for that then copy the list into the practice notes. If I make a note while practising then that can be taken over to the journal.

I like the way the journal can be set so you can see lots of entries. It shows progress.

Having the tuner, metronome and recording system in one place is a real plus.

This app is awesome

This app is great, I’ve just started to get into practicing again as I’ve found some stuff I’m really enjoying working on, and being able to track the sessions and even record clips in them to see how I’ve improved is really useful. The interface is really clean and the stats page gives you a load of great information. Having streaks really incentivises me to practice, as well as having a widget on the Home Screen! Great app, well done!
