A role that I dreamt of hasn’t worked out, culture fit maybe but actually I wasn’t feeling heard, valued and shut down. This was the first time this impacted me significantly to the point I resigned. Tolerance was low. This app has made me realise that my leadership style and my approach to others in ways is brilliant so that boosted my confidence as I was riddled with imposter syndrome and it also showed me how to be so much better!!! If I had this prior to resigning maybe I’d battled through but I’m taking this fully into my new role and feeling confident to be authentic from day 1. A morning coffee and SmartyMe is how we need to start our day.

I got charged for the infographics

I just wanted to pay for the 7 weeks offer which was around £4 however I got charged for the infographics as well when I didn’t want this! The options to purchase extras aren’t clear enough and the app tricks you to click on buttons you don’t want to click on which then results in them getting money from your account. It’s also false advertising and very AI driven. It doesn’t really provide practical recommendations to improve communication in real life scenarios I.e. meetings, presentations. If they take the reviews seriously, they should consider to retire this product.

Scammed into paying twice

This app isn’t clearly informing you about upgrades, it hides the skip button purposely outside of view making the only option visible onscreen continue button which will charge £15 each time you click. These upgrades aren’t clearly informed and are deviously designed in a way to exploit users. Thankfully my online banking notified me of the charges. Not only that these are subscriptions on top of what you confirmed already not just one time payments. So this would effectively be additional £15 per month for each one you add on without realising.

So I fell for a great marketing ad with tests and long explanations of how the app helps its users. Decided to subscribe for a month to try it. After I made a payment and before I was able to open and see the app I was also offered a welcome package of infographics and I clicked “continue”. Turns out it was a paid package which cost twice the amount of my monthly subscription and I was automatically charged before I could even blink my eye. Scam behavior alert! I opened the app to see if I can cancel the expensive “infographics” but not only I found out they don’t refund anything at all per their terms of use, but also the actual app is a collection of some generic information packaged into a cute design - boom. That’s all this is. So make your judgement. An absolute no for me.
