HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Take a selfie at any place or select a preferred image from your gallery. Our system meticulously modifies it to align with stringent official guidelines.
2. Your image undergoes a rigorous two-tiered verification process. AI will prepare and preliminarily check your image, then a human photo expert will double-check the conformity of your pictures.
3. Post-verification, your photograph is primed for immediate printing. You will get digital photos that can be used for online applications, or you can order high-quality printouts with free delivery.
HOW TO TAKE PASSPORT-SIZE PHOTOS CORRECTLY?
• Maintain the right distance - ideal camera positioning for optimal photo capture,
• Posture matters - keep your head & body straight for the perfect shot,
• Optimal lighting is key - avoid shadows for clear, compliant photos.
WHAT TO WEAR TO TAKE PERFECT PASSPORT-SIZE PHOTOS?
• Avoid wearing clothes in light colors, which might cause you to blend in with the background.
• Keep in mind that any head coverings are prohibited.
• You can wear glasses only if they are prescription glasses. However, if your glasses frames cover too much of your face, you need to take them off. Sunglasses or glasses with tinted lenses are forbidden.
• It is fine to have a beard in your photo.
COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID:
• A wide smile - You must avoid showing any facial expression. Keep a neutral face.
• Photo older than six months - If your look has changed significantly, you should take a new picture.
• Low quality of the photo - The picture must not be pixelated, blurred, or damaged in any other way.
• Portrait style photo - If your photo does not qualify for biometric standards, it will be rejected, so make sure the photo is taken face on, you are looking straight into the lens, with your mouth closed and eyes open.

I downloaded this app to sort both mine and my husbands passport photos. Husbands went relatively smoothly. Mine however , said it was fine. So I uploaded it for my passport application. It was rejected. Quite annoying as each of our photos cost £6.95. So I ended up just taking a normal pic against a white wall which the passport office accepted. I later noticed an email to say that the initial photo that Photo AiD had passed, had been checked by a human and wasn’t acceptable and they would offer me another for free. No good to me then as I’d already sorted it. I did complain to the app developers as I had spent almost £7 for nothing. But I have to say. Their customer service agents are impeccable! They apologised, asked for the reference number and passed to their complaints dept for a refund which I received a few days later. Can’t fault their service. It’s a good idea to use this if you struggle to get a good pic. But I would still say try taking a normal pic with good lighting first before spending the money.

I had previously submitted my passport on-line with a photo from my phone only to have the application put on hold as a result of the quality of photo. I realised that I would need a bit more practical help whether that involved an expensive visit to the local photographer or a 2 hour round trip to the nearest passport photo machine!! However, one last look on-line and I found the reviews on this app and thought I would give it a try. After one failed attempt I got a second free which passed the verification. I am quids in given the other options I had!!!Saved the day…….update!!So, following on from my initial review which talked about my feedback regarding the initial ease and use of the app. I have since received notification back to say that my photo had been approved by the passport authorities and expect to have my passport sent out shortly!! I realise that these reviews are based upon personal experience, for me I can’t speak positively enough about my own experience. The app pretty much said it would do exactly as it said it would do. It was so easy to use with no effort from my side. The developer did everything ensuring it complied to passport requirements. I will have no hesitation in offering out my app to others to use!!

Recently I just used the Photo AiD app to complete my online renewal application for my UK Passport, and I have to say I am more than impressed with it. Wow! The speed of which my photo was checked and approved by an expert was quicker than I initially expected (I thought it might take a few hours). I was wrong! Within a few minutes my photos were given the approval allowing me to promptly complete my online application and got it sent off that day. I now have my new UK Passport sent to me and I am very pleased, I’ll definitely use this app again in the future. By the way my parents were very interested when I told them and explained to them how quick I got my photos approved and then I helped them with the use of this app to also complete their applications for a renewal of their passports too. Thank you for creating a fantastic app!

Fundamental flaw

Like others have stated, in theory this is a great app and great if you need quick last minute passport pics and get outside. The process was quick and easy HOWEVER the issue I have is with their photo rejection process. My photo was first approved in all, so I proceeded to pay. Only after payment did I get an email saying the photo has been rejected by the human expert but they will make the necessary alterations so it would be suitable…ok great…NO! The alterations they made were terrible. It was very obvious the photo had been digitally altered/photoshopped and therefore there is no way a passport office would have accepted it. We are taking passport pics not Instagram pics! Nevertheless I wouldn’t have minded this IF THEY GAVE YOU THE OPTION TO REJECT THEIR CHANGES but they don’t! I was forced to download the pics they had altered as I couldn’t go back to view and download the original unedited pic uploaded. If not this, I would have been happy to continue with the service and have them print out and send me the pic I uploaded. That’s £16 down the drain of passport pics I can never use!
