AquaChek Test & Treat by Hach 4+

I’ve always used the Aquacheck strips and used to use the App when I first started managing my own pool. It was a clear, responsive app that was very useful in checking my calculations of what to add to the pool to balance it.
I tried to use it again this week for the first time in a couple of years & it has changed beyond recognition. It’s awful. Lack of pool options when setting up (I have a hopper pool but this is no longer an option) but far worse is that the app won’t let me change types of chlorine used, & just freezes. Like the other review, I tried for a while to get this working but have now given up. Whatever programming changes they have made, they have ruined what was a really helpful support to the testing strips.

I lost have spent a good hour and half trying I scan the test strip. Nothing I did would make the image go green so I could capture it, I tried in different places, different camera angles, different strips, in the end I just gave up. Shame as I bought these strips as it said using the app with them would give you a tailored result so the strips were a waste of money 😕

The product packaging in Europe promised the Indy use of this App which not only fails to list Aquacheks EU product and test strips but utterly fails to do anything remotely helpful. I feel stupid for spending an hour getting this to work - don’t waste your time.
I think less of AquaChek as a result of this and as a novice pool owner I feel let down.
