Easy to use, took me about 10 minutes, confirmation & visa through after 5 minutes of submission. The photo part can be a bit tricky you need to hold your device still, at the right height & distance but other than that simple & easy I used an iPad Pro, not sure why there are 1 stars no issues at all 👍

I was flying from London to Australia and I didn’t realise I needed to apply for a visa for myself and my son. The airport staff told me not to worry and to use this app to apply and we should receive our visa confirmation within thirty minutes. Everything worked well about the app, apart from the face recognition/photo section. This was INCREDIBLY stressful. It would NOT scan my face properly and took about twenty goes to finally get mine done. After this, I had to do my toddler son’s visa. I’m pretty sure we had over a hundred attempts to get his photo, and the app kept saying that the face recognition had failed. Several airport staff got involved to help and eventually after an hour and a half, it finally worked. We nearly missed our flight because it took so long for the face recognition to work. Without a visa we wouldn’t have been able to fly. This app should be made easier to use and I am not impressed with how stressful this made my life on the day that was meant to be very exciting for us to go on holiday.

Useless, pathetic app. With over an hour before my gate closed I was told by British Airways gate staff to use this app to get my visa (usually don’t need one but was using UK passport instead of NZ). Don’t worry he said “It only takes 15 minutes “. Filled in the required details and then tried to take the required photo. App wouldn’t accept it. Tried in different lighting. Multiple times. Time ticking away as I stood at the gate watching others board. Too stressed to stop and think there might be an easier way i.e. via the website. Gate staff didn’t suggest anything either (so missed my flight and ended up having to but a new ticket for £2000). Finally got my thoughts together after gate closed and used the website application. NO PHOTO REQUIRED and had my visa in 15 minutes. My plane hadn’t even left the ground but of course I couldn’t board. Utterly, pointless and useless app! Should have a warning “Try the website first”
