Save and invest, combine pensions and more with Beach - for a brighter future. HOW IT WORKS There are two saving pots to save for your future, choose one, or both: 1. An easy access pot for everyday savings (which can grow tax-free, explained in the app) 2. A pension pot, to help save for a comfortable retirement, with a 25% bonus automatically added from the government (called tax relief and explained in the app). Money added into each pot is invested sensibly with the aim of growing larger over time (suited towards lifetime saving or retirement saving), and managed by the largest investment company in the world. The investments also help to make the world a better place, by considering things like reducing climate change. Note: Beach provides you with the ability to save and invest your money for your future, but we don’t provide financial advice. EASY ACCESS POT Within your easy access pot is an ISA, which is a tax-free savings and investment account where you won’t pay any tax on the money you make within it (which can be a huge saving over time). You can save up to £20,000 per year. If you don’t want an ISA, or reach your annual ISA limit, you can save in a standard account with no limits (no tax-free benefits). You can access your money in around a week. PENSION POT A pension pot is for saving towards retirement – with your money sensibly invested and managed as you age towards retirement and beyond. Every time you add money, you’ll get a 25% bonus added automatically (called tax relief and from the government). If you pay 40% or 45% tax, you can claim more back from HMRC too. As an extra bonus, you also won’t pay any tax as your money grows, so it can grow much larger over time. Tax may be paid when you begin withdrawing money in retirement. These are the general benefits, however your personal circumstances may mean different rules for you, and may change in the future. COMBINE PENSIONS Combine pensions into one pension pot to manage your pension all-in-one place – we usually only need a few details and we’ll handle the whole transfer process (it’s a free service). FEES There’s a simple Beach fee of 0.50% of your balance each year, with a minimum fee of £3.99 per month. There are also fees within the investments themselves, which are 0.17% for the easy access pot and 0.23% for the pension pot (these could vary slightly in future). There are no other hidden fees. REGULATED AND SECURE Beach (Beach Finance Ltd) is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (1010244), and registered in England and Wales (14969609). You are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), providing compensation up to £85,000 should a financial company holding your money end up going out of business and not be able to return any or some of your money to you. When investing, your capital is at risk. The value of your investments can go down as well as up, so you may get back less than you put in. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances, and could change in the future.
