Bestax Southend & Rayleigh 4+

Have used the app a couple of times. First time was without issue but was travelling at a time when taxis are quiet and didn’t book in advance. I tried to use on Saturday, booked for a specific time hours in advance to make a dinner reservation (with 30mins spare too in case of slight delay), when my taxi still hadn’t been assigned ten minutes after my booking time I called and the agent advised me the booking doesn’t mean anything, it isn’t placed in to a system and they will only start looking for a taxi for you once your booking time starts. I ended up having to drive as cab was still not even assigned thirty minutes after I’d requested it. So fine for adhoc but definitely do not use if you are trying to book in advance for a reservation, train or flight.

I don’t have a house number just a name so can’t type this into search when trying to book a cab, or if you live at 1A can’t type the A in. Would be good if that could be fixed

Booked a taxi on the app on a Monday for the following Friday as knew it would be hard to order a taxi being close to Christmas and wanted this pre arranged. App allowed me to book taxi for midnight without any further message. I gave the number a call on the Friday to confirm this booking was all good at which point they told me no bookings are accepted for after 10pm. Can’t understand why it can allow you to book a taxi in advance if it’s being booked for an unbookable time ??
