Excellent smart bird feeder app

Bird buddy has been one of the best Kickstarter experiences, their attention to detail and continued listening to feedback and refining their product has been excellent.

I am not so keen on the appearance of yet another subscription model for “premium” features, but I can understand the need to have a recurring revenue stream to keep the service running. I would have preferred to be told that up front, maybe say “Includes 2 years of free pro subscription” and then we’d all know a subscription was coming when we bought into it.

Other than that, it seems to work really well, the AI is not perfect, but it gets a good 70% right in my garden.

I look forward to seeing their future changes and to the release of the hummingbird feeder.

Bird Buddy app

Sorry but find this app sadly lacking
Firstly the lettering is far too small and no way to adjust it and far too faint can’t adjust that to
2nd the pictures you’re using in your promotion don’t match that are available on the device
Pictures showing birds in a circular window and there is no way you can do this on the Bird Buddy? Does the American units get different software?!!!!!
I use an IPhone like millions of others but found the setting up quite difficult the buddy took several times before it would eventually work even though I was right next to my router
Even though I like the Bird Buddy I would say that it is very expensive for what it is
It should come with all the other accessories at
a cheaper cost
I could have bought one for £100 and would provide far more adjustable features and easier setup
Although this was a gift I was looking for something special and it wasn’t disappointed

Too many notifications of the same visitor!

I love this nearly as much as my daughter, but the number of “postcards” I get per day from the same 2 birds is unmanageable!! Can we reduce this down somehow…?
