Usability Weaknesses

The app front page presents a huge list of all Bonhams auctions around the word, many labelled with generic descriptions. The location of the auction is not shown here. This can require tedious scrolling and clicking back and forth, to find auctions in a specific place. Oddly there is no way to search for the location of your choice. And when you finally get to a generalist auction there is often no filter menu allowing you to pull up only items in the category you wish. I have found myself giving up in frustration and having go online, conduct a web search for my local Bonhams branch and search using the options there.
Feels like the app is killing local branches off by making them impossible to find easily.
Adding these obvious features should be relatively simple.

Bad customer support

It’s been over a month I have requested to pay a small amount invoice by credit card and all the replies from customer service were useless.

Buyers premium is outrageous

I used Bonhams app for the first time and was very much looking forward to it. I purchased my first item. When the invoice came I was made aware that there is a 30% premium on the purchase price. This was absolutely not clear when going though the registration process via the app. I find this outrageous and a very questions business model. It’s no wonder younger generations are no longer going to auctions if the buyer is being penalised like that.
