This ensures you have the right comfort temperature in each zone and that each zone only heats when you want therefore saving energy. The control of the temperature in the individual zones requires the installation of the optional EasyControl's smart radiator thermostats.

The EasyControl intuitive operation and modern design ensures it is very simple to operate using either its built-in colour touch-screen or the app.
• Supplied with a pre-set schedules that can then be easily modified to fit your needs.

• A quick installation guide is provided with each EasyControl. Additional information is available at the website: www.bosch-easycontrol.com including the product manuals, a list of compatible appliances and helpful videos that provide further detail on specific functions.

Simply smarter
The EasyControl’s advanced programming enables it to have an ‘intelligent conversation’ with the appliance to take advantage of features which help improve energy efficiency, such as:
• Load and weather compensation which reduce the appliance water temperature to help further increase efficiency, while also increasing user comfort.
• Unlike other smart heating controls, the EasyControl can also control your domestic hot water settings, helping provide additional energy savings and comfort.
• Visual representation of energy usage data can help you easily identify where potential savings could be made.

Excellent concept, but not quite easy to use

I love this new feature that enables users to control house temperature on our mobile. The idea comes handy when programming, and also when we are outside and need urgent temperature adjustment.

However, I am having constant issues connecting the devices to the boiler and controller. The controller constantly disconnects from the boiler or wifi network, which also disrupts the app connection. The app itself also has issues losing connection from the controller when not used for certain amount of time (1 week? Which is very short). Each time, I have to keep “registering” the controller to the app, and it is annoying as it gets useless when all our mobile app loses connection and we can’t modify programs and have no choices other than using in manual mode.

The app or the boiler hardware will keep updating, and I hope this will resolve the connection issues eventually. The app is great, but I think it is still “in progress”.

Not fit for purpose

Firstly. Where are all these one line positive reviews coming from? This app has gone up by a star and a half rating in three days...I have reported them for Apple to look at and I will be looking in to this further. One hopes a company like Bosch wouldn’t be buying reviews..!

Back to the app. We had a new boiler and the easy control stat and app installed last year. We had nothing but trouble with it, and being it happened when lockdown hit we couldn’t do anything. Heating used to come on by itself constantly, always due to lack of connection. Middle of the night during warm weather and we would be woken up by the heating. We tried moving the stat, moving the wifi, everything. In the end we had to switch the boiler off at the wall when not needed. When lockdown eased we spoke to Bosch who said they had never heard of any issues with it! Think your reviews here beg to differ! They sent an engineer out who said he had no idea about the technology, but replaced the unit in case it was faulty. Nope, same issue, heating on by itself and lost connection randomly. Had another (rude) engineer out who again said he wasn’t trained and couldn’t help...spent most of the visit taking personal calls. Finally scrapped the “easy” control system. Total stress, no support from Bosch whatsoever, and now looks like they have resorted to buying positive reviews to boost their product. What a shame.

Needs a written manual

I have just had a new boiler installed and along with this an Easy Control system and TRVs. The info coming with them is Ok, but the big problem is a written manual for this app. The app is an integral part of the system as without it you cannot get individual room info, add devices or set up heating schedules. Yes there is a demo but it is out of date, it is nothing more than a simulation, which could be useful if there was a manual! For example the demo has the facility to delete a heating time and set point, but the real-time app does not have this. The default schedule has 4 time points, 2 would be better. There is no information on locating the Easy Controller other than it should be in the room most often occupied and this room should also have a TRV in it, no explanation of what the set point on the Easy controller should be set to, should it be set as the highest set point on the system, should it be set to the same as the TRV in the chosen room? Then there is the nothing on Weather control other than contact your installer, that assumes your installer understands it ( they didn’t). If this was sorted I would be inclined to give another star or two.
