Brain Yoga Brain Training Game 4+

Exactly what I was looking for to start my day. This app offers well designed (and fun) games in different cognitive areas. The thing I like most is that it is both relaxing and educational. The music and layout are peaceful. The settings are simple. You can easily adjust the level of difficulty and switch between games. It isn’t busy and does not try and lure you in with rankings, rewards, or pseudo-scientific brain measurements. You can play for free with minimal ads or pay £4.99 to remove them. For me, it was an easy decision.

There are eleven games to choose from. They make you think and are a joy to play. For me it was worth paying forvtge removal if adverts which does remove all adds and so make this app very enjoyable to use every day. There is no buying of tokens to progress. I think this will give me years of enjoyment with nothing further to pay. There is also a good selection of play levels and you can change the levels any time. I particularly like Sets by no. 1 go to game as it makes you think, and doing it every day you know it becomes easier and eventually you can move up a level though even without moving up it still, makes you think so I know I have years or decades of tireless use of these. I also have Words and Logic as no.s 2 and 3 favs. Spatial is a very good different challenge too, until you start to find the one colour per sides games too easy, then having more colours per side looks more complicated but actually makes the game easier than the levels below them due to the colour patterns giving away where specific sides and edges are. So I cannot play Spacial any more which is a shame. Numbers is also similarly flawed by limited choices and combinations which makes most levels all the same so it is far too easy even at the highest level. But app is definitely worth having for the other games.

I’m enjoying several of these brain training games and find them pretty challenging. But I have a real issue with the screen colours. The buttons for the menu and other instruction are pale pink with the writing in white. I really can barely see the words at all. Most of the time I just have to guess what they say and use trial and error till I’ve got them in my memory. I’ve got the brightness set to maximum, which doesn’t help. I’ve tried using dark mode but the app is not responsive to that. There is nothing wrong with my eyesight. It’s the choice of colours that’s the problem.
