No Points On Your Account
After purchasing few stuff from the website, the points don’t go on to the account and very hard to get a response once email has been sent to them, Avios and much faster response and genuine cared about the issues you have , I feel like this app really needs to improve before people really do get upset or annoyed, if the switch between Avios and BA has happened why can’t we keep the same concept like Avios did? can we get this right it is really annoying to keep chasing your points up and time consuming as well this should be added within the time scale of the purchase.
Hit and miss with Avios allocation.
Generally, the app itself works well - however it’s a real gamble as to whether the avios you should be rewarded actually end up being credited to your account. Most e-store purchases I’ve made have allocated the avios accordingly, however this has not been consistent.
I made an online purchase that should have yielded ~3,000 avios, yet only ended up receiving ~2,500 for it. Furthermore, I then queried this via their ‘dedicated’ missing avios query portal, only to receive NO response - even after chasing it up myself, several weeks later. I subsequently made a hotel booking that should have also yielded ~3,000 avios, yet this purchase has not been logged on my account AT ALL (even at a lesser amount). This was more recent, but as yet, again no response to this query has been provided.
It’s concerning enough for the errors to occur in the first place, but for them to be flagged and STILL not addressed is frankly unacceptable.
Con app Missing avios
I have happily used the previous Avios app to shop and build my avios balance and all been well received email after every purchase so I could track my account getting the avios points. It use to take about 30’days but I did get the avios. But since it’s moved to this BA ap, this has been disastrous. I have so far only received 50% of my avios points from pre CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! I get no response when I send in claim for missing miles. This is a complete con from BA. I’m a gold card executive member but that means nothing. Time I changed my airline and shopping app loyalty to Virgin.
