Connection problems

Bought this machine three months ago and initially no problems but since having a new phone (iPhone X) I am unable to connect via this app to my machine to use the remote function. So am only able to use the very basic wash settings on my machine.

I have wasted hours, installing, reinstalling my home WiFi, this app and switching appliances on and off to no avail.

Even more frustratingly, when I went to the candy website to correspond with the support team, I cannot even submit the first page with my details to the website as it keeps saying “enter correct purchase date format” even though the date selected is from their automated calendar selection function. Come on Candy, this is basic stuff isn’t it? Really frustrated, disappointed and couldn’t recommend the Bianca washing machine to anyone as functionality is seriously impaired by the inability to connect the machine to wi fi. Grrrr!

My new Candy Rapido WiFi enabled washing machine is beautifully designed, a joy to the eye, superb quiet performance, and the best feature is the remote control of the machine from my smartphone. At first I though what I’m earth can a remote controlled washing machine be of an advantage over non WiFi machines. The answer is there are limitless advantages of remote control, the App offers several “finishing touches” after a programme ends, for example, a gentle occasional turn of the drum to avoid creasing, an extra rinse, a steam sanitise, just to name a few. The beauty of remote control also means you can load your machine, but choose to activate the programme you wish to use much later in the day, so the washing is freshly done for when you arrive home, minimising creasing, and although the machine is very quiet thanks to the direct drive motor, some people perhaps living in an apartment, or smaller home, may wish to have total peace and quiet, and can therefore set the machine to begin and finish whilst you are not home. Too many advantages to mention, but a thoroughly well designed piece of kit, with perfect results every time, it’s my favourite big boys toy!

Using candy app as a blind person.

As I have no vision and my husband is partially sighted we were really pleased to discover the candy Bluetooth app! I have found the app to be very straightforward and self-explanatory to use. For the first time in years I can decide for myself which wash to use and also change the spin cycle and temperature myself it’s great🤩just one complaint there are a number of buttons which do not explain what they are for and my screen reader just says” button” so handy please could you sort this little problem out for us because I’d love to be able to recommend your white goods to all of The other partially sighted and blind people that I know through groups etc. well done candy 😊👍👍
