Canon PRINT is a companion app for your Canon printer.
With this app you can set up your printer, and start printing and scanning. It also provides various handy functions such as checking consumable levels, and printing via the cloud.
We recommend using Canon PRINT with your Canon printer.
Some functions and services may not be available in certain printers, countries or regions and environments.

Much easier to select files from the app on phone than on the small touch screen on the printer. Connects well to the printer and communicates from another room. I use my phones hotspot as wifi and select it from the printer screen. App is easy to use, can print pictures and crop, print documents, make collages, have templates ready to print without doing anything. Can access OneDrive documents that are saved even without the app installed by just logging in or the files folder with iCloud on iphone and others. I’ve found it easier to use the app on the phone than printing from the laptop, just by saving the files on OneDrive as I can access them anywhere. Really handy app and even offers manuals when errors occur such as paper issues and figuring out how to place it in. Deffo recommend using, just make sure the printer is on when trying to print otherwise it won’t work as it won’t connect. Enjoy :)
The Myth of Sisyphus
WillHobbs2006
Albert Camus, a famous French philosopher, stated in one of his essays that “One must imagine Sisyphus happy”. Suggesting that although Sisyphus is tasked with a mundane and simultaneously difficult task of pushing a boulder up a hill in Tartarus for eternity, he is content. However I, although not a philosopher, dispute his proposition, for I have experienced a similar fate to Sisyphus: Attempting to use the Cannon Print app. Connecting to the printer itself can be likened to the specific act of Sisyphus rolling the boulder up the hill, for it takes an immense amount of time and effort. Finally clicking print reveals your disillusionment, the document is more mangled than the remains of the Challenger Space Shuttle, just as the boulder rolled back down the hill for Sisyphus. You’re back to step one. You repeat this many times until you finally surrender any hopes of a colour print out, and decide to use the black and white HP printer instead. During this ordeal there is no catharsis, only unadulterated rage. Rage you have never before felt towards an inanimate object, because when you use a Canon printer, you get the feeling it’s malicious and that it hates you. It wants you to fail and it does anything in its power to make you. Yet perhaps Sisyphus could be happy, because at least he got to be in a deep hell hole of fire, which in my opinion is far more pleasant than any room in the world where a Canon printer resides. But hey-ho, maybe I’m just using it wrong.
Saved my printer from being thrown out!
Annanas qwerty
I almost had to throw out a perfectly working wireless printer (Cannon MG5450) because my new Windows 11 Laptop would not work with it. The Cannon website said it did not support Windows 11 and I should instead purchase another printer. Not wanting to throw out a printer that I barely use and has nothing wrong with it I turned to my trusty iPhone in the hope that I could use it to wirelessly scan from my old printer. I found this app and voila - I have just scanned the documents I need to urgently scan right onto my phone and straight into an email to my solicitor. Saved me having to either have to buy a lead and connect my laptop each time or get a whole new printer. This is much more eco friendly! Thank you!
I no longer want to print anymore
Thryuied
When I first started with computers many years ago I just pressed print. With nearly twenty years of continuous improvement we now have the zenith of technological advancement. This overly complex irritatingly difficult compromise makes printing a chore that delivers the results they want. First clue, use their app, simply printing from the app you are using is beyond the cannon printer and apps ability to integrate with apple software. It means the wireless printing function is not an option too. Makes you wonder why you paid extra for that facility. Printing photos is a doddle since this device was created to use the most amount of expensive ink possible, however there’s worse to come. Cropping is possible but not free hand like the good old days, no now Zack at head office has improved it, you now have limited set options allowing you to waste more ink on stuff you don’t want to print. Documents almost impossible to print, I did it once but the way is so complicated I can’t remember how to do it since the print options offered in the apple apps I use don’t work at all (see above). Word of advice to cannon, forget the fancy stuff, make things intuitive and user friendly at present you have nightmare of frustratingly limited options and complex procedures that fail to deliver a seamless integration with other apps. You do help me save paper however because I don’t want to print anything anymore due to to your printer. I don’t want to throw out a nearly new printer but I pray for a drunken friend to accidentally break it at some point in the future so I can get rid of this abomination and get an overly priced ink consuming printer that actually works.
Some functions have been improved.
