Invaluable for a complete beginner
Being a complete Catan newbie this assistant was invaluable in learning how to play the game. We learned far faster than we would have done trying to read the rules. My only problem is that after playing the game three times I just had to buy one of the expansion packs and there isn’t a Catan Assistant for those.
Corrupt download
First impression was that the app would be really helpful but quite early on there seems to be corrupted files. The section on the robber and placement of the pieces had no robber or pieces. App help offered help to do with missing physical pieces but didn't offer help with app related issues. I deleted the download and downloaded a second time but the fault was still there.
Does the job
Explains nicely how to play, for those of us who can't be bothered to read the rules. The only thing I'm not clear about it whether you get victory points for roads.
