Great game
I've been playing now for about two years and got to 568. It's very frustrating at times when there's a really tough game, but I know I'll get lucky some time even if it feels impossible. The graphics are good and I like the ever-changing challenges and the new features which turn up every now and then. The short two or three day challenges are usually good, though sometimes I give up on the longer ones as they are more difficult and I would rather use my lives on the ongoing challenge. I have never bought any extra cherries or gold bars.
Super game RUINED by adverts, made WORSE by paying!
I have been playing the free version of this game for several years now, and I used to enjoy it a lot BUT... I recently became totally sick of the disgraceful adverts and their wildly misleading claims (such as a bra that supposedly prevents breast cancer, with NO medical substantiation whatsoever) that I stupidly paid a very small sum of money to buy some “gold” so I wouldn’t have to tolerate the interminable adverts which repeat over and over again. Even if you go to ad choices and say you don’t want them, you get the exact same advert from numerous other “companies” who magically have different names, but use identical adverts. But once you pay them any money at all, however small, it ruins the game. The levels suddenly become so hard that you can’t get through anything without boosts....which, of course, they want you to buy, and all facilities to get anything free by watching adverts are turned off, so no extra moves or anything, and your lives run out all the time. Sorry, but I’m not falling for that one - I’m not handing over lots of cash, I just won’t play the game any more!
Easy enough but Slow and busy
It’s easy enough to play but the game moves slowly waiting for it to reset after each move. Plus there are loads of extras to click on to get free things which aren’t really explained well enough to understand. Like: what the heck is the hat and donkey for after the games? These also that ages to load. Then there’s the episode/chapter/book icon: do not click on it! It opens up a section you cannot get out of without reading all sorts of stuff for no reason I could ascertain. I’m the end, I got bored and went back to candy crush. If I’m going to waste my life I’d like it to move fast enough to give me a tiny sense of accomplishment.
