Description
ChatSecure is a free and open source messaging app that features OTR encryption over XMPP. You can connect to an existing Google account, create new accounts on public XMPP servers, or even connect to your own server for extra security.
Unlike other apps that keep you stuck in their walled garden, ChatSecure is fully interoperable with other clients that support OTR and XMPP, such as Adium, Jitsi, and more.
ChatSecure only uses well-known open source cryptographic libraries to keep your conversations private. Other apps may make claims about 'military grade' security but, without publicly auditable source code and verifiable end-to-end encryption, you cannot be truly safe.

Crashes on iPadOS 14
I like this messenger a lot, but sadly it is crashing on the latest iPadOS.
Some pesky bugs, missing features
Hi Chris,
I like the program, although
1) group notification switch does not make a change (at least in omemo mode);
2) turning off/on trusted keys switch most times does not click, perhaps too much on side on iPhone SE 2016;
3) sometimes keyboard is on, but scroll is below, going to settings and back works until another chat open or kill program to unbug;
4) no image, video, audio saving, might be implemented as hold to share file (iOS style).
I like the software, 3/5 to make it better. Best wishes.
Good App but issue with notifications
I am having an issue with receiving notifications. They’re erratic and at times don’t show up or alert unless I get into the App. I’ve tried checking all Settings - General and App specific to ensure all is ok but seems to be a problem. Is anyone looking into this issue?
