This app used to be great but it’s too dated to work. It keeps logging me out automatically. WhatSApp doesn’t work because of the rubbish in built browser. Message her barely works and it keeps logging out. Please update it. I’ve cancelled my subscription because it’s unusable at its present state
My review on Im + free version

If you want a quick chat it's easy to get up and chat to your mates, it's quick to recieve messages and with sending to. It shows contacts pictures which are a little small but still better than nothing, you have choices for wallpapers and also about your contacts like wheather you show it hide your offline contacts and have a folder to put your favourite people in that's just a click away at the bar at the bottom of the screen. Although it has good points there's always the bad like it's limited of it's sharing, like sending pictures or other documents you might have on you iPhone or iPod touch. Another is the fact you can't add people to your convos and aren't able to talk in big convos, even if others add you into there's, unless you have all of the contacts in your contact list but it's still hard to see what's going on. Over all it's a really useful app to have, and it's free so there's no reason you shouldn't!

3.5 brought back auto correct, something thar was taken out by the last patch, they have added emoji, not much point but okay. 3.5 seems to have removed the minor annoyances and added some stuff which never should have gone. However these have been replaced with the single most annoying thing ever - location services. Version 3.5 sets them as a necessity. Everytime you change conversation window there is a pop up, everytime you go to contact list there is a pop up. This is highly irritating and the only way to disable this is to enable location services. Seems simple but when an app, such as this, is already a major battery hog, you don't want it draining it even quicker, secondly if you live somewhere remote like I do (the isle of man) location services never work so there is completely no point. Please devs, if this is some attempt to make us buy the full version it ain't working and if the next update brings and other annoyances (auto correction removal wouldn't be a surprise) then this app will be the single worst updated app I have ever experienced. This app has great potential, it's just a shame that the devs appear to have no Idea what they are doing.

This used to be an essential app for me but unfortunately, in the course of the last two years it's usefulness has been completely eroded. First, Skype functionality was lost due to changes in the service. Last year Facebook changed to prohibit third party chat clients. So we started using Jabber to connect to Facebook. That lasted until a month or two ago when that also ceased to connect to Facebook. Many users have reported this, so I assume Facebook have also closed that access route for third party clients.So that's now all the services I use that IM+ no longer works with. Shape also don't seem to be active on either Twitter or Facebook with any useful information. I regret not being able to use this app any more, as the buddy online notifications were incredibly useful, as was the chat history function.
