Amazing app!!

This is literally the best app for anything music theory based. I’m a student looking to go to a conservatoire/uni to study music, so this is really helpful in preparation and my A-levels!! Especially with the app being free, most other apps are worse than this and expensive so it extremely student friendly! It’s definitely improved my theory since i started using it, and i’ve recommended it to all of my friends! One suggestion i have is to make a section to practise perfect pitch? I would find this really helpful as it is a skill i’m trying to work on! Nothing to fault though, i can’t describe how much i love the app!!!

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the 5 stars! So glad Chet has been helpful for you. There is a Perfect Pitch mode in Chet that you can enable in Settings. Just click the settings gear in the upper right hand corner, click on Advanced Settings and toggle 'Perfect Pitch' on and it will hide the first note of all the examples. Feel free to email us if you have any questions! support+chet@ensemble-education.com.

Perfect. Best music theory app EVER

I have a Grade 5 in Pop & Rock Piano, so in turn I have tried a lot of these music theory apps and this is (by far) the best I have tried, let me break it down:

1: No annoying ads or subscriptions. This app is free to use, this shocked me as these days all of these kind of apps need some monthly subscription to use all features, but this doesn’t need any purchases at all.

2: Great for all skill levels. As an intermediate player, I started in the beginner exercises and worked my way up to the harder ones, and my god, there are so many exercises and they all vary in difficulty, so this is perfect if there are specific things you need to work on.

3: It looks good. This app was clearly designed with looks in mind, it has an easy interface, and is extremely nice to look at and use.

In conclusion, I really wish there were more developers like this, so if y’all see this, you guys have done an amazing job, thanks.

Very good app

Very good for ear training and nice to have no ads. Couple of little points. The option to vibrate device on wrong answer won’t turn off, and the labelling of notes would be better if sharps were used for many of the intervals to avoid the large number of double flats that appear eg. C# to A rather than Db to Bbb. Thanks though for a great app.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much! We will look into the vibrate problem and discuss the labeling of notes. Next time you encounter the vibrate issue, could you please shake your phone and click "Report a bug". That will send us detailed information about what might be causing this issue. Thanks again.
