Truly awful. I don’t know why the schools cannot simply use email and manage distribution lists, or use a tool such as Yammer/Viva Engage for general communications I do not know. Using this system to share the messages but sending an email to notify that there is something new in Class Charts that you may or may not be interested in and making us click on links to sign into an app that then has a similar high level message with an attachment embedded that has the actual content is the level of frustration that gives this app a 1 star rating.

The rest of the app experience from that point forwards wants me to take the remaining star away as it is simply lacking any sense of user interface concepts. No way to easily navigate to top menu, long scrolling list of previous messages (you can close them once read but then no obvious way to retrieve them again when needed), no search function, no ability to pin key messages such as annual term dates, school reports etc. versus the weekly blah blah messages.

It’s been going on for weeks now, every 10 minutes a notification pops up saying ‘New Academic Report Received - Open ClassCharts to view it’ but of course nothing is there. All of the parents in our school are experiencing this problem- that’s 1000’s of parents! Now everyone has had to turn off notifications, which in turn has meant that we are now missing out on key information! I honestly don’t understand why they can’t just revert to a previous version of the app? There’s zero communication from the developers and at this point I think it’s destroyed all trust! It’s a shame, the app wasn't perfect, but it was useful. Will this bug ever get fixed?!?!

I love this app, two children added quite easily. I can see homework, know if they are behaving well, enjoy talking to my lads about what they did well that day. When teachers use it effectively, the points rack up nicely and I can encourage them to answer questions regularly, hand in homework promptly and ensure they are well equipped.
However, I hate that it freezes daily, sometimes several times a day. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling (a few times) but the only sure fire way is to switch off my phone or delete and reinstall the app. I only really noticed this being an issue this year as the second child started school was added to my account. This coincides with school being more efficient at issuing points. Would love this ‘crashing issue’ to be improved.
