Clew is an AR indoor navigation app designed for visually impaired users to help them retrace their steps in unfamiliar environments.
We will be working on Clew quite a bit over the next couple of months. If you want to be involved in testing / sharing your experiences to help set the direction for development, please e-mail email@example.com.
Changes in this version:
- Fixed an issue that might have been impacting tracking performance (this might help if your iPhone is on the older side).
- Dismiss keyboard in feedback mode by tapping on the feedback screen.
- Support for iPad.

Started well but then went silent!
I went a little way down my street. When I started retracing my steps, the app gave me very useful and accurate information based on what it had recorded. But after a few yards and turning a corner, it went utterly silent. I carried on walking and it still remained silent. And when I got to my house, it announced 200 yards turn left and then as I entered the house it started doing some haptic feedback. Confusing.
Good app, after some testing, I found it to be useful
Just tried it for the first time
Inside my house I just walked from my sofa in the living room to my bedside locker, and it guided me back perfectly including warning me about the stairs! This is a fantastic leap forward in mobility devices, good luck to you developer! I’ll try it when I’m next in the pub for finding my way back from the loo!
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
