Awesome

I genuinely love this game. It's difficult so you have to really think about how to play it. Too many games are easy to finish. This game isn't expensive either so I was well happy with it. Takes some figuring out but with some practice, skill and a bit of luck you can definitely finish the game!

Will you be able to survive?

In the games description it asks if you will be able to survive... The answer is no. The concept of this game is brilliant and the visuals and sound work well but the balance feels way off. You will die A LOT in this game. If it's not at the hands of some random event you will most likely die of thirst in seconds. The only reason I can see for the difficulty is to extend the games length. Each desert is a single screen deep and just over one screen wide. The objective is to get from the left hand side of the screen to the right. In theory you could complete this game in a few minutes if you just walked in a straight line, but with the difficulty set as it is most of the time you die in the first two screens. There are narrative encounters and they are well written but the outcomes feel random. Certain items can influence these but the likely hood of having one at the right time is slim. The upshot is that equipment feels as if it adds very little to the game.
Collecting water is the best part of the game and the controls for this do work well.
If you are looking for an epic adventure there is not one here but a good way of passing a few minutes.
I hope some updates come soon as this game has lots of potential.

Interesting & frustrating

This game could have been really good, the concept and story are interesting however you only get glimpses of the story in random encounters. The outcome of pretty much every single encounter will make your character loose health or water so running to the next city and collecting water is the only way to play.

But the most frustrating thing about this game is when your character gets stuck on absolutely nothing and walks on the spot continuously no matter what you do, as your water supply depletes by the second. This happened to me two play throughs in a row when I reached the fourth desert (2 from the end)
