cloudLibrary is going through some exciting changes. It reminds me of when I first got a universal remote control...I thought, “This changes everything!”
Ratings and Reviews
App’s great, the only issue is that sorting by ‘date added’ doesn’t work properly
App works well, reading experience nice and smooth. The only issue I’ve encountered is that sorting by date added doesn’t actually show you the most recently added books. E.g. I can see that the number of books in a category has increased, and that there are new books in there when I scroll through by release date which weren’t there a few days ago, but when I sort by date added the ones at the top were added weeks or months ago.
Also I couldn’t find anywhere in the app to raise a bug report
An excellent resource
It’s great to still be able to borrow books from the library in these difficult times.
I wish there were more availability as some books have long waiting lists but I’m still grateful for the chance to read some excellent books in this format. The chance to renew a book would be useful but I can see the difficulty in needing it for the next person. However, it does make it slightly frustrating if one hasn’t quite finished the book. Maybe there could be a three day window of extension at the end of the period of borrowing as there is at the start.
Glitches
Frustrating app. I frequently turn the page to find (like the previous reviewer) that it is the same page again. However the most frustrating thing is that sometimes when I open the book it has gone back to the first page of the chapter that I am reading and every time I try to turn the page it looks as if it’s turning but it’s still on the same page. In order to get it to work properly I have to delete the app and re-load it. I will be complaining to my library about it.
