CollaNote: Handwritting & PDF 4+

Perfect for all students

I was looking for ages for an app with all my notes taking needs and this is the only one that met my needs so far. If you’re a maths/physics student I strongly recommend this app over Goodnotes, since it’s very cheap one time payment for the value you are getting.

Honestly this app is nearly perfect for me, I use the curve tool to create graphs all the time and the shape filling tool is great when I’m drawing diagrams. The linking feature is genius and really handy when I want to reference an equation or image I wrote earlier and I recently found out you can actually add a hyperlink to an interactive graph IN THE NOTES which is so cool. The actual handwriting experience is identical to Goodnotes without any of the shady subscriptions they’re asking now.

There are a few things that aren’t working so far, the pdf search tool isn’t working for me which is a bit of a shame since I have textbooks which are nearly 1000 pages long and you can’t draw curved or angled arrows which I use a lot but that isn’t the end of the world.

Holy Cow this is awesome

First of all I’m surprised, like really surprised nothing is paid. AND NO ADS! How do you earn money from this? I really want to know your monetisation strategy. The writing is lovely! My only trouble with writing is universal and it’s a case issue. And because of my warranty I can’t change the case. It’s annoying but not your fault ofc! I love the ability to make writing noises but one nitpick. Can you add a volume slider? I listen to music and stream background sounds when studying and the writing sound overpowers them both haha. I love the tool that have laser, curve stuff like that! So unique and awesome! I do quite enjoy small features like this! Including the backgrounds of notes like wth that’s awesome. I’m not a fan of the pencil but that’s the same in most apps so not your problem haha! Everything in this app is awesome! My biggest problem is that I can’t open two windows of collanote like you can with say good notes 5 (I don’t own it but I watch good notes content) Please add a donate feature or monetisation method though! I want to support you! Even with adds! Please please please! Thanks for reading this unstructured review lol

I’m a bit disappointed. There’s now a monetisation feature but so many features are premium now. Half the stickers, most brushes and most detrimental to me is I can’t change the colour of my notes anymore. White backgrounds don’t suit me and when I’m doing world building I like to have colourful backgrounds

Free genius pdf annotation app beyond any I’ve used

iPad & iPhone support, I thought it was really clever anyway, until I realised you could also go online and collaborate too this is so clever AND FREE! Just amazing on first download and import of first planner, everything fully supported.
I have stickers packs & photos too too for planner not sure yet how to import and use those in the app, it would be awesome if you have MacBook macOS support and apple watch support (or update & connectivity especially for any calendars within the planners in each book/import etc) or notification for collaborations etc) if this possible please do let me know) also if in on iPhone/ iPad (and on macOS too) is cloud service accessible so if you input notes or make adjustments.

It’s pretty cool and hyper useful anyway but with these added feature it’s top class….. please let me know if these feature available thanks otherwise great, useful , fun easy to use app 👍🏼👍🏼thanks

Hi, you can choose between iCloud and the storage on your device in the settings. If you use iCloud, you have the notes on all devices. If your Mac has at least M1, you can also use the app on it - Regards, Quốc Huy
