Color Defense – Epic TD Game 9+

Happily bought the remove ads iap once the new update fixed the difficulty level, playing on normal feels about right for me.
There’s not a great deal to it, no upgrade options bar the standard in-level ones, no hero’s and only one power up. However what it does it does very well indeed the levels are well designed (although not particularly original), the UI is good and it offers a decent challenge with more levels to come.
Well worth the cash to remove ads and to hopefully ensure more content.

One star lost for unoriginality and for not being quite as good as neoDefense.

I loved Geodefense back in the day so was really excited to play this. It’s a souped up version of the original with better graphics and sound. The music is epic and adds real drama as you play. The developers have really taken time to make sure each level is challenging in its own right. It always takes a good few gos before I can master it. All in all, a great game. Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to new levels being released. Well done, developers. It’s a winner!

We right now have released update 3.0 which contains a new CASUAL play mode. The next update then will focus on new levels.

“Supports all new devices” except the new devices 🤦🏻‍♂️ can’t see the currency since the app hasn’t been updated for iPhone XS Max. I can’t see the information at the top.

The ads are extremely obnoxious and annoying. Banner ads, full screen ads and ads that literally block the pause button. Seriously? How did this get approved??

The game is “free” sure. But if you want to remove ads it’s £5. A bit expensive. I’d rather just pay for the game outright. Beyond that, why is there a premium currency!? There was no need for this. Which makes me worried the game will be overly difficult later to push you towards micro transactions. Overall pretty poor. Good concept, naturally tower defence is always fun but not worth the price.

Thanks for your comment! Please reconsider your one star rating because the update 2.2 will be fixing all the banner problems for the iPhoneXS and iPhoneXSMax. We had a small bug which is moving the banner ad over the buttons in the old version. The game now with version 2.2 is optimized 100% for the iPhoneXS. The update will be out at the start of this week.
Regarding the ads: It was important for us to have a free game which is only possible with including ads. We also wanted Color Defense to have free ingame currency, so we let players earn free nanites by watching optional video ads. This makes it possible to play the game for free 100% without spending any real money.
Most players who don't like the ads buy them away. In later levels when you need some nanites for special weapons you then can watch videos to have enough nanites for a game session. The monetization we have choosen is like 80% like in other free games... only you don't have to by the ingame currency packages constantly but instead can earn them by watching a video in the game and ONLY if you need them at all!
