Love coffee? Then you’re in the right place. The Costa Coffee app makes being a coffee fan so much easier and more rewarding. It’s the simplest way to collect Costa Club beans, order your favourite drink for collection in store, find your nearest Costa, view your beans balance and exchange beans for free treats. Yum!

All of your Costa Club details are in the palm of your hand, so there’s no need to carry your loyalty card. Just scan your phone at the till whenever you make a purchase, or scan the code from Costa Express machines whilst your drink is being made. You can even order your favourite drink from a Costa Express machine, all from the app!

With our app, you can:

• Log in with your current Costa Club account details, register an existing card or set up a new account (and get a new member bonus of 1 bean!)
• Use mobile ordering to order ahead and skip the queue in store
• You can now use your free drink rewards on Collect orders
• One touch contactless reordering from a Costa Express machine
• Treat a friend by gifting them a reward
• Track your beans balance to see when you have enough for a free handcrafted drink
• Find details of your nearest Costa stores including directions, opening times and facilities
• Ditch the card and keep Costa Club in your pocket at all times
• Add your Costa Club card to your Apple Wallet

We pass your Costa Club ID internally within our systems to deliver more relevant and personalised content and rewards in the future.You can contact Customer Services to opt out of the profiling of your personal data.

Used to be a great little app. Now faulty

In the last week or so the app freezes regularly when trying to display products or add them to an order. It seems it’s the app, as it says “it’s not you it’s us”. Have deleted and reinstalled but no different. This is on an iPhone 12 mini. Staff told me other people are reporting the same issue. Is this the latest update causing the issue or a server problem?
Either way it’s turned a one minute order process into a five minute ordeal.

Before that, the only issue I had was it being too easy to order from the wrong branch, as the app defaults to the last place you ordered from and it’s too easy to miss.
Staff are great at helping and will replace an order and call the other branch you’ve ordered from. Again this is apparently a common problem. But this is so wasteful and could be easily sorted by a bit of intelligent app design, either by asking you choose the branch at the beginning, or showing it in a bigger font or a pop up box.

It’s a good app

It is a good app to be fair. I like the system with the beans. Although I would say that it does take quite a long time to get the free drink. I think Costa should think about meal deals or at least get beans for the food which is purchased like a muffin or a toastie. So like for a meal deal you get x3 beans bc you’ve got 3 things like; a mango and passion fruit cooler, a cheese and ham toastie and a muffin for example. Or you get a bean for just a muffin. That way, it would be up selling for the members of costa and would be more realistic in terms of achieving the beans. I know not many coffee shops do this but maybe Costa could be the first? The app is good and convenient, it doesn’t always pick up the stores or something or other but it’s good. If you make those suggestions to the system, i promise you, it will help upsell massively

Bad design

Don’t know why you have changed the app to the stupid bean system it was much better the way it was before the answer I got from you was that they did survey and everyone was with it well I was never asked and I don’t believe what you say I never seen anything to ask the public, you have just lost a customer even though you are still the best coffee maker I will now never come in to Costa again because of the way you have changed the app I’ve now destroyed the card and deleted the app and sometimes the points never went on, I’ve read somewhere that since Costa changed the loyalty from points to beans and is now worthless they are loosing around 1000 customers per week serves them right they should look at all there complaints and realise there big mistake, they will end up closing coffee shops, looks like the developers response are there way of trying to get out of there own mistakes don’t believe them it will never be a hit please bring back the old way they are loosing customers I’ve now gone to a different coffee shop we’re your more appreciated

We have completed an extensive trial and all our customer feedback was hugely positive, but we do appreciate you may feel as though you are losing value.
