Description

The all singing-all dancing, new Greggs App has landed, and in our humble opinion, your phone isn’t smart without it!

Whether you want to earn rewards for your shopping, grab and go with our Click + Collect service or just browse our menu – we’ve got you covered.

We’ve also added some handy extras like a new and improved Shop Finder to make getting your Greggs fix even easier, no matter where you are. And there’s a brand-new Greggs Wallet which stores all your ways to pay in one handy place, including the option to ‘auto top-up’ so you always have money to spend in Greggs.

How does it work?

Easy, just download the app for FREE to get in on the action. In your app you’ll get 6 different stamp cards, one for each product category - from sandwiches to sweet treats. Each time you buy a product in a shop or through Click + Collect, you get a stamp. Collect 9 stamps in a category, and the 10th item you choose in that category will be on us.

If that wasn’t enough to make you smile, as a thank you, we’ll send you tasty treats and little surprises, like a FREE sweet treat on your birthday. Because you know, we’re nice like that :)

What’s New

To get the most out of the Greggs App, remember to scan in shop with every purchase to earn tasty free rewards.

Top up

The latest method of topping up your app is so limited - the only option being your bank card, no option for either PayPal or, Apple Pay. It took me two full days to try and get my new bank card accepted because both texts and using the banking app responded too slowly and the whole sequence had to be started again and again and again. I was so frustrated, but I did appreciate the gesture from Customer Services when I contacted them about the problem.

We're sorry to hear you've had issues with the app. Improving our payment service is our top priority at the moment so you should see improvements very soon.

Removed Apple Wallet support? What is this 2012?

They have removed Apple Wallet from this version which is an utter joke. What is it 2012? Now you have to take your phone to Greggs (can’t just have your Apple Watch on if you have one) and in order to claim points for your account you now have to unlock your phone (good luck during COVID face mask time!) scroll around to find the app, wait for it to open, hope you have a phone signal, hope it doesn’t crash, navigate around the app to find their daft scan screen, hear everyone behind you grumble about how long it’s talking because you also had to ”sign in”. What idiots did you have make you this app Greggs? Maybe you should rehire the old team and pay them a little more as an apology for dumping them for these clueless developers!

Developer Response ,

Oh no, we're sorry to hear this. We've worked really hard over the last year to make scanning your Greggs App in shops easier, so we hope you've seen the improvements. Thanks for your feedback on integrating the Apple Wallet, this is something we're considering alongside other payment options in the future. We appreciate your suggestions and if you have any further ideas on how to make shopping with Greggs even tastier then please get in touch at www.Greggs.co.uk/contact.

Nothing works

I’ve been in touch with customer service several times and the app does not work. I just keep going back and forth with them trying to sign in to my account and it doesn’t work plus it won’t allow me to create a new account as I keep getting the message ‘unauthorised’ plus no joy from customer service who are telling me to reinstall it, turn off wifi, switch it back on etc etc…. Greggs is a big name company in the UK, it really needs to sort its app out. If they have technical problems or no one qualified to sort out the app, they should be brave enough to say they have a problem. It’s ridiculous really.
